This is also not mandatory. However, if your score is less than 600 points, better get the ECA done for your spouse. Based on the final score, you may decide on IELTS too.

UCI stands for “unique client identifier.” It is also known as a client identification number (client ID). It appears on official documents you get from Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC). It has four numbers, a hyphen and four more numbers. (Example: 0000-0000).pakimom said:Dear Colleagues,
My husband had applied for FSWP in 2006 - unfortunately due to extreme backlog and a ministerial decision the applications were not processed and we had our cheque returned alongwith a note from CIC informing us that the file had been returned due to backlog under a Ministerial decision. I was the spouse and entered as 'dependent' in the application at that time.
I am now applying as the principal applicant. Whilst filling in my EE profile - For the question " Have you applied to CIC for Immigration to Canada before?" I have replied as 'YES' and for the question "What is your UCI Number - please enter below. I tried putting in our file number "BC123456" but it was not accepting those numbers....I then put in '0000000' and it accepted that number and I moved ahead to complete my profile. Kindly advise what I should do - I tried emailing the cic but got automated replies. Should I call them? Can anyone let me know which number I should call them on.
Thank you for your help.
I would think the second option is for dual intent LMIA, meaning employer is applying for LMIA for TFWP and PR at the same time. This is for employer hiring foreigner when s/he is outside of Canada, they can come to Canada as TFW at first, while PR is in the process.MGFcec2014 said:Does this mean that if he has already hired me and have been working for the past 9 months for him, does he have to pay this fee??
