Hi there, Sydney received full docs on Sept 2, 2010 and then posted AOR on the 26th but no updates yet since then...how long does it usually take for them to request a medical from the time of 2nd AOR?

In my case， it took 4 and half months.

any news from sydney visa office. i have received 2nd aor. i heard that in 2 months time they will respond back with medical request. however it seems like none of applicants get any news from visa office.

Yesterday I enquired by fax regarding my medical result and the estimated time in which I would get the final result.
Till now, no response 8)

Yes u r right its been quite a while no updates or med req been reported by any forum member applied under Sydney CHC waiting since long time in process like me (Since Feb 2010)......

I was also planning to send a case specific enquiry on my case but since you are not being responded yet... probably I will wait some more days... Pl. let us know when and what you got any response from the CHC... I think they are keeping pretty busy with the pre-scheduled X'mas task to finish!!
By the way how did you receive ur medical? In normal post or in e.mail? Thnx

My interview was interacted in many areas including my qualification, job exp, family inf, previous application to IMM canada and finally on POF and I was asked to provide evidence of source of money shown for my Fixed deposit as POF... a brief details on my interview experience has been shared in other thread (NOC 4131: input here.... look for post 8-9 july 2010)

At least we can expect to have some quick response on our case specific general queries or request on updates from CHC even if they might be very busy....
Frustrating but prob nothing to do....

Hi VictoriaM. Why don't you try sending an email to them? My experience emailing them have been very good. All of the emails I sent to them have been replied in no more than 48 hours.
