I applied to CIO, NS as Alberta Nominee and received AOR on Aug 28, 2012. I have been advised that further processing will be done at London High Commission. I'm wondering how long it will take to get MR from LHC.

Requested documents are usually same for each applicant just IELTS result is not necessarily asked from all applicants.

Kindly check out following email of London Visa Office shared by another forum member who received it during last month. He was requested to submit IELTS result too (although he submitted IELTS already few years back at Alberta PNP) but there are few other forum members who didnt get IELTS request along with other documents. Email is follows:


Dear Applicant,

This refers to your application for permanent residence in the provincial nominee class. The information you have provided is insufficient for a visa officer to be satisfied that you meet the requirements for immigration to Canada.

The provincial nominee class is described in Canada's Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR) as a class of persons who may become permanent residents on the basis of their ability to become economically established in Canada and who intend to reside in the province that has nominated them. Notwithstanding the nomination of an applicant by a province or territory, the federal government has the final authority to select immigrants in the provincial nominee class.

If you already have a job offer from an employer in Canada, please provide proof, including a current offer letter, full details of the job title, its location, the job duties, and also an explanation of the process by which you obtained the job offer. If you have professional and/or trade qualifications, provide evidence that these qualifications will be recognized for employment in Canada.

Please submit a language proficiency test result from the British Council IELTS test (www.ielts.org) as conclusive evidence of your language ability. A review of your English language proficiency, based on your application and all of the information you submitted in support of it has found your material to be inconclusive. Although there is no formal assessment of language proficiency in the provincial nominee class, how well you can communicate in English or French is important to work in Canada and therefore to your ability to become economically established.

If you have work experience in your field of education or training, describe exactly what you did in your job. Your description must be written by you, in your own words, and not copied from someone else.

Please submit all of the requested information at the same time, as your file will not be reviewed until submissions are complete. I submited my IELTS certificate in 2010 to Alberta. That certificate is now more than two year old. In case I'm asked to submit IELTS to CHC London, should I submit that old one or I will have to retake the exam?

Yup its better to retake IELTS before they ask for it to avoid delays.

Well in my case its not just fee, but taking time out for something which Im not even asked yet, seems difficult to me. I did Academic IELTS few years back & got 7+ band so I hope I'll be able to manage it once again(if asked).

They asked me to submit 3 things within 60 days:

1 : A detailed paragraph on "How will I establish myself in Canada"

2 : Proof of money i.e Bank Statements of my account showing transactions for last 6 months.

3 : Write in your own words about your job experience & describe exactly about what you did in your job.

Good, send these docs and you will get medical in 1 month. I sent these docs on 4th july and got medical request on 25th july.
