Because of this PCC issue,I have just written to the Canadian Consulate in HK,asking for a refund.I got my AOR yesterday. Also it requires too much of paper work i.e notarized etc..so I gave up but no regrets.

I think,as Ankit mentioned, you have to pay the fees twice:
CIO: CAD 550
VO : CAD 550

No this is not what I meant. Please see my detailed response
You pay fees twice, processing fees to CIC and RPRF to CHC but the amounts are different
Processing Fees for CIO : A family member of the principal applicant who is 22 years of age or older, or is less than 22 years of age and is a spouse or common-law partner Pays CAD 550

Family member of the principal applicant who is less than 22 years of age and is not a spouse or common-law partner pays CAD 150

RPRF paid to CHC : CAD 490
RPRF can be paid while submitting full docs to CHC or when they ask for it with medicals
following people do not need to pay
•dependent children of a principal applicant or sponsor, a child to be adopted, or an orphaned brother, sister, niece, nephew or grandchild; and
•protected persons, including Convention refugees.

ankit_20,
what you say is what I have understood.
Hope it's correct.
we do not pay processing fee of $550 twice.

Hi Sir,
CAD 490( I had written CAD 450 by mistake, Sorry) is RPRF at local visa office( CHC New Delhi), its details are also available at the web address cic.gc.ca under guide for applications and the name of guide is EG75.asp

thanks.

Yes this is correct

We pay processing fees only once to CIO and that is CAD 550 for principal applicant and spouse and CAD 150 for dependents under 22 years of age

Hi ,
I have also sent the fund requirement details which otherwise is not the criteria for our point calculation, but counts a lot for granting visa.

NOC 4131

I applied under this category and got AOR yesterday.Copied all the duties from the site and pasted it on the form.

Today I wrote to HK Visa office and Canadian Consulate,HK asking for refund. ;D

Small correction:

HK Visa office & CIO,Nova Scotia.

Wonder if they ever reply to emails pertaining to refund!

Hi rupeshhari,
My question is about the requirements for the job-discription and duties to be mentioned in the experience certificates.
As I was given only two-line experience certificates by my preivious employers. No job responsibilities are described. And I was serving there on ad-hoc basis.
Now I was working in a private university, and asked my administration for employment certificate, but they denied on the grounds that we can not give you the detailed description of your workdone.
My Heads knew the work done by me, but they cannot give it on company letterheads
Please advice for the current and previous experience certificates
thanks.
Gauri :)

My credit card has been charged last night :) Now hoping to get the AOR email Inshallah tonight ::)
