Hello Doctors, Any dentist applying for Australia Immigration ? Can Indian dentist , BDS degree , with IELTS 7 BAND overall, and 3 years full time work experience as Dentist in India...apply for Australia PR ? Do Indian Dentists need to pass ALL Australian dental license exams (ADC exams) to apply for Australia PR under Dentist occupation. I heard Indian dentists need to pass ADC exams before Australia PR application. Is that true ? Please reply if you have any idea. Thanks.

HELLO dhaliwal

YES you have to pass all ADC exams(initial assessment + written + practical) and get a skill assessment certificate from ADC after it to apply for SKILLED PR VISA.
THERE IS NO OTHER WAY EXCEPT A STUDENT VISA.

our education is considered as an entry to practice level profession at par with master's degree so you should be able to get that much points.

Have u applied? No one is actually quite sure. Only after one applies will get to know what score is awarded. However it is quute clearly written that dentistry is professional degree liable to score equivalent to masters degree. There is a big OR in that statement. But what I'm confused about is that would BDS b counted or they mean MDS!!?

thanks,i had already applied in express entry in march with my wife. my consultant insisted me to fill education level for BDS as post secondary program credential of three year or longer. so i filled it as he said for which i was rewarded 112 points. but as dentistry is regulated profession so now i think i should change my education level to master level for which i will get 126 points.

There is written 4-7 yrs of professional study. In India it is of 5yr duration. Hence weather BDS or MDS, they come under this slab..
Even my consultant says it is under bachelor slab. But this link solves every doubt. It's in plain English still i don't understand why these consultants are creating doubts!!
