My local MP contacted CIC and it looks like that they have reviewed my file on Feb 3 and sent it for the second review on March 4.

I called call center before week and they said my application has been seen on Feb 3 but she didn't say what is going on with it, haven't heard anything from CIC after that, do you think my application is also in second review

In Jan 2016 I have added spouse to my application, how does it changes the processing of application?

Ah, then yes it will change, as they will probably do more checks on their side

what do you mean more checks?

they will be performing background, criminality, security and medical checks for your spouse now

So CIC doesn't check for my eligibility first, instead they do criminality, security, background and medical for spouse and then at the end they check for principal applicant Eligibility??

Do they still do background criminality security even if the Spouse hasn't been to Canada?

How long does it extend or take when you add spouse to your application?

How does CIC process the spouse application? please correct me if this is wrong.......

I'm thinking that first they will check for eligibility of principal applicant and once it is passed then they will check for criminality, security and background for Spouse, once they are good then they will send application to the country where spouse is residing and then send medicals. is it right?

Yesterday I got the "Ready for Visa" email.

Actually I got my GCMS notes this morning: there was nothing completed in the beginning of February.

The snapshot of my file one month ago:
- Eligibility: in progress
- Security: not started
- Criminality: in progress
- Medical: not started

It means that in one month they completed all necessary steps.

same does anyone know what is second review and what steps follows if u passed the second review?
