So CIC doesn't check for my eligibility first, instead they do criminality, security, background and medical for spouse and then at the end they check for principal applicant Eligibility??

Do they still do background criminality security even if the Spouse hasn't been to Canada?

How long does it extend or take when you add spouse to your application?

How does CIC process the spouse application? please correct me if this is wrong.......

I'm thinking that first they will check for eligibility of principal applicant and once it is passed then they will check for criminality, security and background for Spouse, once they are good then they will send application to the country where spouse is residing and then send medicals. is it right?

yes this seems to be the case, I got my mr about 3 weeks ago, I was over the moon, and then yesterday I get an email from them, asking to provide more evidence for my application as there are concerns over my eligibility (work experience). so who knows how they work, or what order they doing things in.
I just can't wait for this whole process to be over, I'm jumpy everytime I get an email now, checking this forum about 20 times a day because cic are so unpredictable. I'm just praying for the day when I receive that copr ...

Send them case specific inquiry, CIC has to answer every case specific inquiry..Same you can see in your GCMS notes too.

CIC is not liable to reply Email inquiry. use Case Specific Inquiry tool.

In addition my suggestion would be take your MP help, You would be getting response in day or two.

@torcan14 : how many lines do u have on your ecas? I got a third line added 3 days ago that :We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on Jan 7, 2015

Do you want to add documents or ask about status? Then I think, Verification of status, replacements and amendments of documents is the only option we have.
