Guys I just received an email, your application has been updated, but there is No message

did you submit any case specific enquiry recently if so may be bez of this you got this message.

whats the time window to get this message after you submit CSE

I submitted the CSE yesterday at 12pm, got the automated reply straight away. This morning at 10am, got the message from CiC.

I have to say that the emails from CIC are something REALLy stressful.

i was just reading the requirements for a P.c.c. from back home and i saw a weird thing,
Do I need to provide a Police Certificate for Express Entry?
No. CIC will contact you after you apply for Permanent Residence. CIC will give you specific instructions and the information you need to get a police certificate. Please read the instructions above for more information.
NOTE: CIC will not accept police certificates sent by mail for Express Entry applications.

Do I need to provide a Police Certificate with my Application for Permanent Residence? No. Citizenship and Immigration Canada will send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send your Application for Permanent Residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a Police Certificate.

Name of document(s) to get: Certificate of Good Conduct

I was missing the traffic history report, so they cancelled it after a 6 weeks of processing. Pretty annoyed, given that during the application process they actively requested extra documents (english tests results) after it was submitted anyway, so why not request any missing docs with the same method? Called CIC, and EE apparently lack the funds to get a phone line connected so I was advised to submit a case enquiry with the file attached.

Application submitted: Mar 19
Application cancelled: May 13
CSE submitted: May 13 (with missing file)

Received the generic "your application has been updated" email on May 14, with no visible changes. Nothing in ECAS either.

First of all , I haven't done a new profile yet. I've got the email in my inbox just after submitting the CSE, and this is what it says about the answering time :
The turnaround time for a response is of 10 business days for online technical difficulties and 30 business days for case specific inquiries.

The message I got this morning was an update regarding my existing application. But there is nothing new in it.

to naga.msbi:

THE ECAS status is application received, I have never seen it be in progress.

Hi Colorblind

The message that you got today was for the update they did yesterday.

Email for new message comes the same day but email for updates usually comes a day after.
At least that is the pattern I have seen in my application consistently

The 28 days might not be in the letter, it may be in the web page itself - I don't really recall but here is part of the message I got:

(Timely and efficient processing is important to us. We receive an enormous amount of correspondence daily. Although we would like to respond to all of it, we recognize that it takes resources away from finalising applications.

To minimize the impact that replying to enquiries has on processing times, we respond only to correspondence from people who have already applied for a:

Ø permanent resident (immigration) visa
Ø temporary resident (visitor, temporary work, study) visa or permit.

Kindly note that we are not able to acknowledge receipt of documents, changes of address, and other case-related information. We can assure you, however, that the new information you provide will be placed on file.)

Did you get anything similar to this??

We can assure you, however, that the new information you provide will be placed on file.)

That would be awesome and sensible to do of course

Hello,

Is there anyone who had added his/her spouse after receiving ITA? Are we allowed to do so?

You've asked this question several times and on various threads and have received responses which you acknowledged so why do you keep posting this question?

Ananya, thanks for your comment. But, I want to ask you that if you are visiting one thread, why did you have to visit another thread? You know the answer. And, that's why only, when I had a question, I had tried to ask in 2-3 threads.

Luckily, I got some expert comments from tbcan in one of the threads. However, I am still looking for someone who have gone through the same situation as that is going to clear lot of my confusion and going to help me to take several decisions at my end.

I hope this might have answered your question.

You need to check at what point the web page was last updated. This is not current information. You must submit PCC upfront as a part of a complete application.

From the people who got their application reopened, have you created a new EE profile while you were waiting for the reply from CIC? Just got my application cancelled due to the mix-up with my information and thus my documents being "incomplete", submitted a Case Specific Inquiry to CIC and I hope to get my application reopened. But I'm not sure whether I should create another profile and hope for the new draw or wait for the reply from CIC. I don't want to create more confusion by creating a new profile, I will run into the same problem with the new profile so I would prefer CIC take a look at my case and provide me with an answer but at the same time afraid of missing a draw that would give me another chance to explain my situation...

When did you submit the app??i think creating new profile doesnot make confusion rather than submitting new application..making profile and getting ITA still takes time and u may get response on CSE.
