A PDF message will be sent to your MYCIC account and there you will know what the issues are.

Thank you

Thank you very much! Do you know how long after the cancellation should I receive this? I received the notification of cancellation yesterday, but no PDF so far. Thank you again!

For the ones that had the application cancelled, how did you get to know the reason? I see people saying: mine was cancelled because of ECAS, others due pcc, but I actually received no explanation for my cancellation. Will I receive? Did you send a CSE in order to obtain this information? How long should I wait? I am afraid the application can expire before I get an answer from CSE, which says 30 days for the turnaround time.
Thank you, CC.
Normally you know about the cancellation along with the reason all together through the letter they sent to your myCIC - I wonder how did you know about the cancellation if you have not yet received a letter? can you tell us the sequence of events and what exactly have you seen/read/heard??

So here is what I have done since my refusal. Strongly advise anyone else using gifts as a partial/complete source of funds to provide all possible documents to conclusively prove that the gift is here to stay.

> Got additional signed & stamped documentation from the bank which clearly establishes debit from my father's account and credit to my account - to conclusively prove that the monies did indeed physically transfer from one account to the other.

> Got a fresh bank certificate that states that my account balance is well in excess of 11,931 CAD and the 6 months average balance is also healthy now because the monies have stayed around untouched for more than 4 months.

> Got my father to give me a a fresh self-signed declaration to reinforce the act of 'gifting' me the funds earlier and mentioned all possible transaction details in this letter.

> Made a document explanation pdf which identifies each of these documents by name and explains the purpose of acquiring each of these documents.

> Created a CSE (used up nearly all of the 1500 words allowed to outline my reasoning for them to reassess my application in the light of this documentation while reiterating that none of these documents are post-facto and pertain to claims originally made in my application), attached all the above mentioned documents, submitted the CSE and received an auto acknowledgment which indicates a 30 day response window.

> Created a new EE profile (I'm still north of 450 but I've lost considerable points because of my birthday, growing older is never fun!) and will wait for either CIC to reopen my application based on the CSE (remote possibility) or send me another ITA (more likely).

Looking forward...

Hang in there my friend you got it all and either reopening your application or getting a new ITA, you will be fine. It is just a matter of additional time!
No one will feel your pain more than those who have been in the same boat before, keep your positive attitude, trust God, and have faith!

Good luck!

Hey, were you able to figure out what was the reason for cancellation?? couple of things caught my attention, one is that you got the cancellation only two days after your AOR, which is really weird!; second is that you never received a letter to explain why it was cancelled. Every one got his/her application cancelled received a letter through myCIC explaining the reason for being incomplete.

Based on my GCMS Notes, the system automatically calculates your eligibility first before it's passed to a human. If fact the system calculated my eligibility a minimum of 4 times. The first was when I submitted my EE Profile into the pool, then just before I was invited to apply, after I submitted my application and when it was passed to Ottawa. Each time the decision was marked as passed. The OP may have changed something that was there when he got the ITA thereby prompting the system to automatically notice this and hence rejected the application.

Asking you to send additional documents is a good sign, just hang in there and I hope that your file will be open soon!

In looking at my timeline, I guess no one has been waiting or were asked to send documents as much as I did!! and here I'm waiting from passports to come back with the visa and COPR!!
