Thanks and I hope they are processing all the applications like mine.
We have known eachother for more than 4 years before getting married.
The PR Appln Status still shows as ''In Process'', as I recall they change the status on the website in a scheduled manner(once in 15days/month).
Good Luck!
wish u n your wife a beautiful lyf ahead :)
btw me n my hubby have known each other for more than 4 years as well :)

Hi Everyone,
Our application will also go to Ankara once it passes the first stage. Right now it's at the VO in Mississauga, the application reached CIC on November 2, 2012. I am just wondering how long does it take in Ankara, because right now the processing time for Ankara is 15 months :(... does it really take 15 months??

Hi CanTurk, and welcome! We are actually hoping that in the next quarterly update, Ankara's processing time will be reduced- but we won't know till then. We have seen some very fast processing out of Ankara, but most people are experiencing longer wait times. Hang in there. We will all get through this :)

Seniors, did you receive any note from Ankara that they received your case? Should I continue checking my mailbox desperately? :o

Unfortunately, Ankara doesn't issue AORs :( I hope they start doing so, since they have increased their 5 months processing time to 15.

Ankara timeline update: 16 months :(

From being 5 months in May, to 15 months in August, and now 16. Will this ever end?

Yup, I was hoping for the same. It's been 4.5 months for us after the transfer, and absolutely no movement.

I've seen two people from Turkey getting their visas pretty quickly though. Are you from Turkey? If so, hopefully same thing will be true for you.

I was waiting for 20 November to check the CIC website with hope to see reduce timeline. But it increased. Why not good news? Let's pray and hope

My husband is Turkish, my application is currently sitting in Mississauga. They are still working on Oct 10 files, my application reached Nov 2. So I still need to pass the first stage....oh wow almost 5 months eh....is your significant other Turkish national? Since December is just around the corner I don't know what there vacation schedules are like ::)....so that could mean that my application will be looked at in the New Year :(....all this waiting is kinda of frustrating since I keep thinking whether I provided everything or not....I hope you hear something soon

My husband is from Georgia. Don't worry, your sponsorship approval will come soon. The processing time for the sponsorship approvals has improved significantly. It used to be 90 days only a few months ago. I hope the rest of the processing times also improve like this.

Yes, almost 5 months and absolutely no movement is a bit frustrating. The bright side it that we get to spend the Christmas together :)

I hope you hear something soon, too. To a speedy process for all of us!

honestly i thought it would go down...at least to a maximum of 9 months...and here they go and disappoint us all by going up... :(...whens the next update???

Hi everyone,
I noticed most of you have "file transferred" under user information. How do you know the transfer date? Does someone contact you from Ankara to notify the transfer? Our application was started in Damascus and with the closure of embassy, I am assuming that it is now under process in Ankara , but we never got any official notification that our application is now being processed in Ankara!

Thanks
Sarah

We simply assume it is the date the sponsorship was approved. If your file was transferred from Damascus to Ankara, the best way for you to know the information about the dates is to order your GCSM notes (electronic file).
