Not sure how relevant this info is for any of you, but I will put it out there.

I am a Canadian PR married to a Georgian citizen. Sponsored her from outside the country on the 28th of June(application sent). The following is the status from ecas:

Sponsorship application status:
We received your application to sponsor XYZ July 3, 2012.
We sent you a letter on September 7, 2012 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Permanent Residence Application Status
We received XYZ's application for permanent residence on July 3, 2012.
We started processing XYZ's application on October 3, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

My wife received a call from the Ankara office on October 3rd to submit her passport.
Sent the passport on 5th, immigrant visa stamped on the 16th.
Got the passport back on 22nd.

congrats n hope Ankara is processing all applications like yours
if u don't mind me asking, how long did you guys know each other be4 you got married?
btw as it seems they change status of d applications after they processed them completely since u received passport request just after your status changed to In Process!

Thanks and I hope they are processing all the applications like mine.
We have known eachother for more than 4 years before getting married.
The PR Appln Status still shows as ''In Process'', as I recall they change the status on the website in a scheduled manner(once in 15days/month).
