Hi general:
Quick update ,
I just called immigration office to do a short follow up if my applicaction was transfered to Ankara VO,

they said it was transferred yesterday, so I guess , after the approval ,

it takes one month for these files to go to different VOs overseas.
........................

also , medical tests are valid for one year only , and if the processing time takes longer , it needs to be re-done again ,

Have a great weekend ahead cheers :)

Hey everyone,
Just wanna share my timeline...

Visa Office......: Ankara, Turkey
App. Filed.......: 19-06-2012
File Transfer...: 23-08-2012
Med's Done....: 29-05-2012

I just hope that there's good news coming for all of us :)
P.S. I'm the sponsored person n I'm Iranian ;)

i just think they send the app. to VOs immediately! as u mentioned it seems my app. was not there since 1 and half month age :(

Hi Nelly:
They often say that , "file has been transfered " to VO , but if fact it takes almost a month, and after 100 days we can follow up with the main office our app. was sent.
good luck
ps
It also takes longer for men , because they will go through more detailed military and background check, give it between 7 1/5 to 10 month , and if all fees and documents are compelet , the visa will be issued.

unfortunately my hubby cannot contact CIC to check d exact time of sending our app. to Ankara since d waiting time 4 being on hold to connect is approx 45 min n his break time is less than this!
on d bright side it may take less time 4 me as i am a woman, we paid all fees n i hope all docs r complete n enough :)

Hi nelly*! I've added you to the spreadsheet.
Hope all of us will receive good news very soon! and welcome!

I just read a post about people living apart for long time. Just wondering, whether we can go to applicant's home country until the case is processed and live there if the applicant can't live here until the case is processed. How VO can know where I am?

Hi
the sponsor has to live in Canada ( specially if he/she has PR, and not citizen) . he/She can go home for vacation. when they come back they are asked about their trip at the airport. I heard being in home for loooong period may cause problems in process. where r u from ? If u r Iranian i can explain in better better ;) But with all of these, maybe nothing happen if we live in our country until the process complete.

I am thinking of leaving for Azerbaijan for 3 months. Just wondering the risks if I decide to do so.

If the sponsor is a Canadian citizen , s/he could live with the applicant in the applicants home country , no problem .
( this rule doesn't apply to PR sponsors, they could go visit their hubbies and come back live in CA during the process )
In fact ,by logic it could be another proof that the marriage is not fake.
cheers

hi everyone...i have a general question that i am very confused about if anyone could please help me :)

my sponsorship approval was on august 9th 2012, i had my own uci client id so i was able to login to ecas, but the letter that they sent me has not yet reached me after 2 months.. so i called cic and they said that they can not re-send the letter to me...and i asked about the other uci client id that is for my sponsored spouse but the agent at cic said that the visa office gives us that client id is that true?????? or does canada give us both uci client ids?????

second of all... on ecase when it said "in process since august 22" does that mean that they are working on our file or does that mean that they have just received our file??

thanks for ur help
goood luck everyone

Hi alish! Added :)

One question about the eCAS status. Which part says "In Process"? The sponsorship part or the applicant's part?

Thank you!!!
the applicants part says "in process" sponsorship says "decision made"
is that good or bad at this point???
