By the way, what is your application timeline? Mine was received by Mississauga office on Oct. 5, they had not updated us since mid November on ecas/mycic.

Yeah I do agree with you for preparing a new police certificate with new passport!!! However I was told that if there is a need for new one they informed me in this request. Anyway, first we sent the application on Nov 5 but one signature was missed in a form so they returned it back and finally it was received on Nov 21, starting process in Ankara since 14th Dec and Bc started on Dec 22. And no updated until now.
It is very frustrating waiting game and just hope to finish very soon for all. ???

Hey! I am so happy for both of you Congrats! By the way, the interview was supposed to be on Friday, but in Iran we are still in Thursday. Just curious to know how it is possible; because our time is about 30 minutes ahead of Turkey!! ;D

Wish all of us get good news from Ankara soon, especially those guys who have waited really long.

You guys from Iran, have you checked prossesing time? It was 9 months up to yesterday and today I just checked now and it says 8 monthsit's a joke I have passed my 9 months and there is no updates‍‍This is crazy, hopefully we get some good news next week

Processing time is not a deadline, it's an approximate time for your country to process it. Which means it might take longer than 9 months
We all already know that the stage that extends everything is Security because Ankara involves our native countries to get confirmation and more documents, so its up to our countries to respond on time.
Ankara seems to work fine, I don't think they would keep our cases on the shelf, especially if we were ordering notes and sending them updated files.

In our case, Don't expect Iran to pass any info to Ankara. For example imagine a person is working for nuclear facilities or the government in Iran they will not disclose anything to Ankara about her/him. In other cases they will not disclose either because if they disclose once and not the other time Ankara will know something is wrong with the person they didn't disclose. So Iran will simply not answer to any enquiry from Ankara. I think Ankara already knows about this fact and does not ask anything from Iran or will not wait for any response. It should be something else that is holding them for security and they are not waiting for any response from Iran.

My security will be 5 months by March 24th and just waiting.

Just for satisfying my curiosity! In mycic, in front of each part (such as Eligibility, Background check) only it was written in progress! Since yesterday when they asked for additional documents, more details are added like below!!!

Application status : We received your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.

Review of eligibility:We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.

Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.

Review of additional documents: We need additional documents to process your application. Check your messages below for details.

Interview: You do not need an interview. We will send you a message if this changes.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

Final decision Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.

Then I came into this idea that processing my application didn't start since mid Dec base on mycic or ecase and just it was in a line. Now they start working on it and again this time a true waiting game!!!

Mine looks like the same as yours now. To me it seems someone has started taking care of myCIC and they just updated the status with complete sentences instead of word phrases. It does not have to do anything ewith the start of process or security check.
