I think it's too soon for you to receive this letter, I have filed my application on oct 2011, and I have received this E-mail on July2012. Don't worry

If you already paid the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (i.e. if you paid $1,040 when you sent your application), you will not receive this letter.alish said:Hi, I am Iranian but I never recieved this letter from them? ??? ???

I have paid around 400 $ for RPRF, not 1,040$, are you sure this is the same? Cause I have searched and I have found that RFPR=landing fee. But I am still not sure.Güzelyol said:If you already paid the Right of Permanent Residence Fee (i.e. if you paid $1,040 when you sent your application), you will not receive this letter.

Hi Vanman,Vanman said:I'd like to ask a couple of questions:
1) I'd read that my wife would be notified by CIC when/ if she should proceed with the medical exam. It seems from reading your posts that EVERYONE completed this medical exam before they sent their application. Have we somehow made a mistake? Should my wife have completed this medical exam prior to submitting our application?
2)When we paid our fees I did not pay the landing fee. Would you recommend that we do so now in order to avoid a delay later in the process or should we proceed as is?
Thank you so much for the explainationGüzelyol said:75$ for the sponsorship application
475$ for the main applicant (your spouse)
490$ for the acquisition of permanent resident status
=> 1,040$
The VO will only request you to pay the remaining 490$ (RPRF) if you didn't pay them when you sent your application.
Don't worry! It's such a big amount of paperwork that it's not really surprising if something is overlooked. They have removed the form to fill for medical (it used to be in the region specific guide, if I remember correctly. I just checked the new stuff in CIC's website, and the new version doesn't have it.)Vanman said:Thanks BCgirl!
I feel like a putz for missing this info regarding the medical requirements although from my point of view, it isn't very clear to be honest.
From what I've read since seeing your latest post here, it would appear that my wife isn't required to fill out any forms prior to the medical exam, but that these will be done by the medical practiitioner as a result of the changes with the GCMS. Am I correct in my interpretation of these new rules?
Are you in the lower mainland?
Take care and thanks again...best of luck to you and yours!
