To be honest, my wife was going to do that but as there are a lot of complications with that, for example your passport being stolen & ... Also there are lots of rumors our there. So it was safer for us to go with my wife and bring her here. It does cost a little more but it’s the safest way out there. But I know that there are a lot of people sending an authorized individual to pick up the passport/visa. That’s just my opinion, don’t mean for you to get worries about your passport being stolen.

Is it Safe?
And what kind of documents we need to send, just the printed Email, Passport, Pictures and the representative form, I guess ?
Thank you so much.
Looking forward to hear from you
Cheers,
Best luck to every one

Hi All,

Ankara is asking me for extra documentation, basically an "Archived Police Report" even though we sent in the police report already. Not sure if they lost it or are asking for something different. Thoughts?

Also, what is the best or accepted way to submit the document Mail, Fax? They don't specify this in the email.

You have to send the original copy of Police Certificate of each country you've lived more than 6 months in your life and the certified translation in English.
Your translate must be atach to the original copy no matter what language is the original one, you have to send it.
And the police certificate must be issued recently, like at least one month ago
Thats it.
You can find these information at CIC, just google CIC and police certificate, you will figure it out

Hi Aribc - Thanks for the reply.

I understand what the police certificate\report is and we sent in a translated version of it from Turkish to English.

My question is specifically related to the word "Archive" in relation to the police report. Which they underlined in the email.
I'm questioning that word in association of the police report because either I resend what we already sent (because maybe they lost it) or if this is something extra that has to be done.

I've never seen Archive in their correspondence.
But You can Email them, or even Call CIC customer service center, they are helpful most of the times.
Sorry, I couldnt help

King c, you should contact the police department you got the report from and ask. I'm sure CIC cs will not tell you anything. They either say " we don't know" or they read you off stuff that's already on their website.

Hey guys I had a question for Iranians. Can my husband buy his Ankara to Canada ticket from Iran or does he have to wait to get his visa before they can sell him a ticket to canada.

Hi KingC,

The Turkish police report should have two sentences.

1) Yukarida kimlik bilgileri bulunan kisinin adli sicil kaydi yoktur
**Above mentioned person has no previous criminal record**

2) Yukarida kimlik bilgileri bulunan kisinin adli sicil arsiv kaydi yoktur
**Above mentioned person has no previous archived criminal records**

Please verify if your initial police report had the second sentence. If not then your wife should ask for the record again and specify that they should include the note for the archived record. This is what the embassy is asking for

Ooooooh! Mrs Kor! You're on fire!!!
I swear after this is over some of us can become immigration consultants. If he wanted to ask this lawyer, had would've charged him 200 for listening to his question and another 500 for "legal advice".
You rock Mrs.Kor. Good for you.

LOL seriously we should turn this into a business :D :)
CIC rehab center: immigration advice, help with filling the forms, psychological support - all inclusive :)

Jokes apart, I really cannot wait for all of this to be over... I hope I'll also hear something from the embassy soon...

Thanks Mrs. Kor - Based on your response I know now they lost our police report. Oh well more delays in this unnecessary lengthy process.
