Ankara Visa Office Applicants Check in here! :)

I received the email this morning stating that we can either 1- go to the embassy or 2-have an authorized person pick it up, however it does take 4 days for them to give us the Visa -Stamp it-. I'll be leaving next week for Ankara.
Keeponwaiting22 - Congrats to you, my wife is Iranian and in the email it indicated that we have to go there + 2 recent pictures 3x4. So I booked the flights and I will be going to Ankara.
FYI, for anyone else who gets the same email. You will need a copy of the email as well there are no DIRECT flights to Ankara, you will be landing in Istanbul and then you will be taking another flight -a little over an hour long flight- to get to Ankara. The closest hotel to the VAC is the Hilton Ankara which is 11 walking minutes from the embassy. Obviously, I have googled all that as I just dropped $7K on the flight and a 10 day hotel. I will have more info when I come back and I will be updating you guys as well.

I just received my passport request Email last night.
I had couple question.
Are you going to Ankara to pick up your visa next week, because the office is closed on Monday @ September 2 for labor day.
Do you think if we hand in our passport on Tuesday morning we would be able to get visa by Friday afternoon.

K, so I'm flying on Ankara on next week. I specifically wanted to avoid the long weekend. They say it takes a maximum of 4 days. Oh also, I just found out that there might be a $28.00 visa fee which has to be paid either by money order or bank draft. I'm a little worried about this. Anybody else heard or seen the same thing?

Could you please send me the name and telephone No. of any courier who does delivery-pick up of passport from Tehran to Ankara
Since the next week is long weekend , I rather to send my passport by courier.
I heard that Aramex does that.
Please give me some tips and advise about that.
Is it Safe?
And what kind of documents we need to send, just the printed Email, Passport, Pictures and the representative form, I guess ?
