Oh no.... the office has been closed for the holiday

November 7,8 and 9 Kurban Bayrami

Thank goodness it is open again tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping for the best for you, Mrs. X. Maybe your status will change on the ECAS website. I miss Turkey. I spent Kurban Bayrami there in Istanbul last year. His family bought a sheep, and we ate mutton for the rest of the year afterwards. It was definitely a great experience for me. You lived there in Turkey for quite a while, you must have enjoyed much of the food there.

Ankara was a fast office when we first applied. So you are saying, you've filled your application completely, and have mailed it all to Missisauga? And now they are asking for more information. You want to make sure that you have enough proof to prove that you and your spouse are communicating, how you are communicating, how often. Do you both speak english. If you could tell me a little bit about yourself, I could probably help you more. ::)

Oh and it's always nice to see another person from Turkey on here. I don't see a lot, it always makes me happy :D

The Ankara office is pretty good. I emailed them and they actually emailed me back :)

My file arrived there November 10th but no updates online in ECAS.

Mrs. Turan, when did the Ankara office first contact you or your husband? How long after they received your file did they let you know anything?

Me, the sponsor, had very little response from the Ankara office, but as soon as my husband e-mailed
the VO in Ankara they usually got back to him right away. Maybe because it was his country. Oh and
only if your inquiries were in English or French. My husband tried it in Turkish and he was promptly
told that they would only answer inquiries in those two languages.
Just don't send too many e-mails to them (no more than once a month) or they'll flag your e-mail address
and not answer you at all.
After my husbands file arrived in Ankara we never heard anything until they had made the decision
that he needed an interview. We found this out in a letter, and on ECAS.

How long til they told him about the interview?

1 month after they received the file, he was requested for the interview.

Am hoping it will only take a month until we are called in for the interview. Silence and waiting is the worst.

My address appeared on ECAS. Am hoping this means they are working on my file! Hoping for an interview before Dec 15th as we will be out of Turkey on holiday after that :)

You won't necessarily be called for an interview. If you have enough evidence you might be
good to just finish processing. I'm hoping that's what happens for you. I met another woman
on here, I can't remember her name, but her husband was from Turkey and they had no
trouble at all. Congrats on your case moving along on ECAS :)

Well we got the approval for Sponsorship today!!!! YAYYYYY!!!! ;) It has been a grueling 92 days for this part of the stage to be over. We are both excited and can't wait for my husband's arrival home in Canada. If the visa office is working fairly fast, does anyone know what happens from here? I really hope it doesn't take too long for my husband's interview ( hopefully one isn't needed :D ) and he can get is PPR fairly soon!!! Any details and info are greatly appreciated!!

Oh congratulations. LOL I totally misunderstood what you e-mailed me. I'll pm you in a while :)
