Please note that as of July 1, 2020, the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration of Canada has also lifted the suspension on the processing of temporary resident visa (visitor visa) applications. Although processing of applications has resumed, travel restrictions to Canada remain in place. For more details, visit the IRCC website.
Omg I got scared for a moment. So that news had nothing to do with our spousal sponsorship application, only for visitor visa. Good, we have to be their top priority application even before students or work permits.
it doesn't mean we are a priority in fact it still not clear if they are intending to give PR confirmation any time soon .
what it means that NO PAPER applications of any kind will be accepted but they will process all kind of visas as normal but applied online only . so they dont have to deal with papers and packages . and still as the announcement even if they process still the restrictions in effect so someone may be approved for TRV but still cant enter canada if he is not an immediate family member or essential worker .
most of VACS in the middle east are back to operation except jordan as requested by the canadian embassy in jordan . they dont want them to open yet .
hopefully we will all hear some good news soon .

- Started processing application on January 21, 2020.
- Correspondence acknowledging receipt was sent on January 22, 2020.
- Met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor on February 06, 2020
- Biometrics Collection Letter was sent on February 6, 2020.
- Biometrics Completed February 12, 2020
- Application was forwarded to the visa office in Amman for further processing. On February 12, 2020
- Statted processing PR application on April 22, 2020.
