Hey Guys...just sharing in case might someone in the same boat as me.My husband applied my PR in august 2019..all gone fast and in end of nov i had my medical done.I am living and resident of England.God knows IRCC moved my file to back home where i was born.Finally i had pre arrival letter in month of march 2020 and with no luck covid lockdown begun and since then i am waiting.End of Oct,i was received passport request letter and i had to submit passport back home where i was born.I was due on to my British Nationality and i became Citizen of Uk in nov.From this point..all got so complicated and messed up changing nationality.I thought it would be easier just by letting IRCC know.I informed and dropped 100’s of emails and i had to wait till mid of March after so many emails and phone calls to abroad that i am not longer national there.I was about to withdrawn my file and wanted to apply from Britain.The last email i sent to was Ministry.It did work.i received passport request letter states submit your British passport to diff country where I originally belong to.I had to go back to square one to change the port of stamp,which i managed to change and posted my passport along with passport request letter and requested documents.Now i am sitting tight and putting my hopes up.I am only sharing to you guys as it took us nearly 2 years to sort out.If any of you in same boat as mine..please do as much as you can to chase them.No more excuses for covid.Thanks guys

Chaos indeed. But I believe British passport is visa exempt from Canada and therefore the physical passport is not needed to be mailed to the embassy. Scanned copy of the bio page, printed PPR letter, and two passport-sized photo are all that was needed. They do explain in the PPR email for visa exempt countries. Anyways, don't be surprised if the passport returns without visa counterfoil on it and only COPR document.

i called VFS erbil today.. they said that before covid it used to take up to 1 month.. but now, nobody knows..

@Moh47 can you or anyone in Amman visit the embassy to ask? (if it is allowed of course).. because the VFS offices are not allowed even to say a word..they are just acting like DHL..
