if your status changed just last month to in process then i would wait before ordering the notes. it maybe also good to order them. it is your call.
Going to the embassy is a good idea, if you are a Canadian citizen then they will let you in, go and talk to someone there. Just ask politely they maybe able to tell you something. you wont lose anything by going.

Visiting the embassy is the worst idea. No one will see u at all,, the immigration section is closed in person exactly like in Canada you can't get information from them in person, ONLY BY EMAIL. Personally I sent an email to them
since June until now no responde. So my advise to you don't wast your time to go over there, I went 4 times each time the security outside is the messenger between me and them that we will send an email to you today or by the end of the week until now nothing. I guess the email lost it is way or it is been kidnapped.

Guys sorry for this. I don't like to kill your happiness but if ur ECAS changed to in process it is not a big thing mine changed in process in November 2014 so don't be disappointed if you don't hear nothing from them. They sleep deeply after they touched ur file

i have been waitting a year and 4 monthes my friend just done everthing in a year and two monthes only and her husband is in canada now
im realy getting tierd of this situation
i have not seen my family for long its so sad
