I think a couple of years ago all of the CIC workers went on strike for poor working conditions...so hopefully things have improved for them. I imagine with processing visas for 3 different countries as well as visit visa and refugees they are pretty busy?

I guess we just have to be patient and keep each other's hopes up.

Salam,,,
It doesn't matter refugees or Temperary visa or anything else. The priority for spouse they have to finish the files. Our cases is completely different. We are a part from our family wife, kids. So they have to work on our files. And regarding the workers in the embassy them work is good the issue with the immigration officers here is the problem.

Hey Masriixo, I noticed that you updated the spreadsheet to show AOR2...did you actually receive anything from CIC via email or letter? The SA letter just said that our file was being transferred to Amman...but I'm wondering if we should be expecting to get some kind of notice that they've actually received it.

Has anyone received AOR2 from Amman office?

Also, I need to send some updates (fix one question on the form and change residential address). Do you think I should be changing the forms and re-sending them? or just send a letter explaning the changes and the forms they pertain to?

Thanks in advance

I did get an email. They never told me that have actually received it in Amman but CIC sent me that it was in Amman's VO. From what I read on the forum, not many VO offices send a letter stating that they actually have your file. But Im sure if youre worried, you can call and double check.

Just to be clear...this is the letter attached to an email regarding the SA...that says your sponsorship has been approved and that your spouse's application has been sent to the Amman office...correct?

(that's why I had initially started a thread posting samples of the letters....but then decided against it) ;)

I asked Masriixo the same question before, and yeah it is only the SA letter not the AOR2.

Btw the sheet now shows that your Ecas shows "in process", is that right? if yes was the "in process" for the principle applicant or for the sponsor?

The date for your in process is the same as the SA, I think this is not possible, since after the SA, CPC-M mails the application package to the VO abroad and it is impossible imo to receive the package and start processing it the same day.

I agree the whole thing is a bit confusing....the overall step under Applicant is showing as "In Process" in ECAS (which includes application received, medical results received when I click on this) however I noticed on an earlier post that someone had shown the step "We started processing your application on <insert date> under "in process" in their ECAS status. So this would likely mean that my application is not actually being looked at yet in Amman. I doubt it has actually reached Amman (and we will never know I guess until they ask for info or a decision is made). I'm going to delete that date.

So I finally sent some updates to our application to the Amman VO via the online case specific inquiry. I had to split it up into 3 submissions because of the 3.5 MB attached filesize limit. I only received two confirmations via email, even though I have a screenshot of the online confirmation for each one. Now I am worried one of them didn't go through.

Of course, they don't assign a specific inquiry number that you can reference...the confirmation is just generic...silly system.

I had also noticed in my SA letter that they said something of a medical certificate deficiency being noted (even tho I did the upfront medical and ECAS shows it has been receive). So I sent another inquiry with a copy of the confirmation we received on the day we did the medical. I think I also saw elsewhere on the forum to ignore this...but I don't want to leave any holes uncovered!

Just going back through this forum and honestly it's hard not to get discouraged when reading how long it takes the VO to open and process the files.

Insha'allah everything will work out. I pray for patience at every prayer.

Thanks for the update, yeah the system is not consistent by any mean. Still waiting here as well.

My letter was for when they moved it to Amman! Sorry this is all sooooo confusing

Dedoz: Yeah! I was confused with what each step means but mine still says "application received" not "in process"
Although my cousin submitted her forms in February and her case was moved to Amman and hers is now in process so maybe they're working fast?
If her time line compares to mine, I should be changing to in process sometime this month (Im constantly checking e-CAS like a crazy person even though they only update on Tuesdays apparently)

When I asked my cousin she said that one day she was randomly checking and noticed it changed to in process. no letter not notification no nothing.

did anyone notice on the CIC for Amman, Jordan it doesn't say the time in months anymore .. on the page now and there is a " -" through where is says how many months .. and i noticed all the months have changed and they have all increased..

you are right! the outland time have been updated. Now not sure why they removed the times for Amman. But strangely enough Abu Dhabi times jumped from 13 to 19 months. Ankara was 11 now 26. :o

Amman then should be 30+ now, maybe thats why they didnt put it. scary!

i really hope not .. Lebanon is 64 months now

from the the cic page:

(–) indicates that not enough data are available. Processing times are shown only where an office has finalized 10 or more cases in the past 12 months.

let see what number of months they come up with!!!!

Oh my goodness. I will throw a hissy fit if it becomes 64 months!!!
Is that even legal. Holyyyy. thats 5 years!!!!! Oh my god Im so happy that my case isnt in Lebanon.
Lets hope that that time change doesnt effect our processing time.
