Thank you! We were VERY surprised when we got the email! However I have been working very hard to get quick processing on my husband's application.. we are living in Syria, and as you know the situation is terrible here. I spent a lot of time writing my MP, the Minister of Immigration, and getting the media involved.

Insha'allah the embassy will start working on all the applications more quickly, and everyone else who is waiting will get their PR soon

Oh I actually didn't know that even syria's processing is in Jordan too.

Yeah the situation in iraq is also terrible. I have tried emailing my MP and I have tried emailing the embassy quite a few times also. We got an email a couple weeks ago asking for a second medical and police clearance and some military papers for my husband. I'm not sure what that could mean because I know the medical has to be redone every year and it has been a year for us so I don't want to get my hopes up too much.

Inshallah your husband will be in Canada soon and inshallah things will be faster from now on for everyone

My MP is doing nothing other than email with no results
Still waiting its been 1year and 4 months since i filled my application

Does anybody from iraq know how to get a medical appointment? We keep calling them and they either don't answer or they tell us they'll call us back and they don't. We don't have much time left and we don't know what to do.

We have everything except the medical. They are still not giving him an appointment and we only have seven days left. i dont know what to do.
He is going to mail in his police certificate but even that when I checked the time quote for dhl, it's going to get there two days lat. I dont know what happens if the documents are a little late, will our file be refused?

Try to contact your MP and let him/her explain to them whats going on it should help because they

Should I ask my lawyer to email them or will they not answer him either?

We filed on November 21 2013
I got accepted as a sponsor and our file was transferred on December 20 2013
And now our second medical was requested and some other documents along with it.

Try any of them your lawyer or MP
For me i emaild them almost 3 weeks ago and no answer but when my MP
Email them they answer with almost no info but they still answer him
And since you have a lawyer you should contact him And he should be able to do somthing

( family book ) i dont think we have family book in iraq
Please if somone was asked for it let me know what you did

And also can he submit everything by person because

I'm sorry, it's been a while since you posted this. Have you figured it all out? I'm not sure about the family book but I know there is something called بطاقة السكن . Could that be it? I haven't heard of a family book but maybe someone else has? Someone please help roro if you know.

I see in your timeline that there is a date for an interview though? Update us on what happened with your file.
