Kindly note that we have received the Copy of the Nationality Certificate .Your application is under the normal process.If we require any further information or documents, or when a final decision is made, we will be in contact with you immediately.

Pleas can you tell me what is that mean . Is that a good sign

look i send the document which is they requster from the beginig but when they ask me to send it again
I send them email telling them that i have already send you the document but to be in the safe side i send them the document

yed sure i think it is good idea go and give them the document by hand and ask the empassy how long it takes to get our visa after in process .thanx

ولكن انت في حالتك اتوقع انه عليك ارسال شهادة الجنسية وكذلك ارسال هوية الاحوال فقط من باب الامان

according to the CiC website, its about 29 days for stage 1 http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp

Thats a good time, I had to wait 96 days for mine

almost same boat here; what a nightmare was one year ago when we sent the application it was 45 days then every week it was increasing with at least 7 days; we gor it in 83 days and it even reached 119 days
now they r back on the "normal" timing; so 2 weeks is half of the way

any sign from them is good first is good because they confirmed they got it and it's attached to the file; second it's good because they didn't realize later that they need more things
now is it good that u'll b done in a week or more only they know just send them good thoughts and positive vibes and it will b ok and i know this process is always in the back of ur mind but try to b busy with other things too

depends of document and depends of their instructions too; u r lucky to b where the embassy is so i would just drop it; fyi the security outside r not that nice and they might not let u inside; but once inside (if u insist) everyone is very polite and gentle

hey everyone i have great news!!!!!!!! today my partner got call from someone in the embassy, very nice guy his name is Rami or something like that; at the end they even talked in Arabic initially it was very hard to believe that the call was to say we have the visa; the first instinct was to tell him that he's ready to answer any question and if they need any more proofs or updates we are ready to provide; but the guy said no, you provided more than enough and the visa is ready to be picked up!! i can't believe, i'm still in shock and without much to say
don't worry guys and ladies soon u will all b done and i wish u all the best of luck
by the way, ecas says still "in process" so don't rely too much on it
also, i'm with him outside Canada and can't believe i'll finally go back home!! we plan to go to Jordan together to take the visa in person but it looks that i need a visa; is it true? : do u know if Canadian citizens need visa? what abt Syrians? (before they didn't need but now everything is different)
i'll come back with more questions for those living in Jordan and i'll gladly share more if u need; soon the gcms notes will come so if any of u is interested i can give u an insight now that i have overall view;
aa and also our expired medicals were extended automatically for one more year so for those in the same situation i suggest u to wait them contact u and don't redo them anymore unless they tell u to

We started processing your application on November 28, 2011.


We started processing '(wife NAME)s application on January 23, 2013

they don't talk about medical anywhere and they have not said anything about re doing medical


any idea of what I might be expecting from them

I'm in the same exact boat my file is being processed as of Feb. 3rd, 2013 and they haven't told me anything about redoing medicals. I re-requested my GCMS notes hopefully in it will be valuable information.

We received (wife's name) application for permanent residence on October 20, 2011.


We started processing her application on January 27, 2013.


Medical results have been received. (does u guys says that too about the medicals?)

for my part tho, as a sponsor when i was approved to sponsor, i got that letter in the mail that said my file went to Damascus, syria back in early jan 2012, it says

We received your application to sponsor (wife's name) on October 20, 2011.

We sent you a letter on December 30, 2011 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
