I'm wondering if everyone here filled out their application electronically or did someone fill it out by hand like me? If you filled out by hand, did you remember to fill out the forms that needed to be validated electronically...the generic form and application to sponsor form. I didn't and now need to call immigration to find out what to do next.

We did by hand..we did not validated electronically
we did last august..
Good Luck

I filled the application by hand, but since october 2010. Thus, I guess at that time electronic validation was not required.

We filled out everything by hand April 2011. Didn't have the option to validate via the net.

My wife filled it out by hand.. my writing is terrible.

We typed everything. Much faster and easier for the officers to read. My writing is not nice.

I followed the guides and information on the CIC website and filled everything electronically. I rarely write anything by hand these days. My hand writing is fine, but I just feel that for something important like this, it's better to do it electronically. I remember when I first started researching all of this, I read on the CIC site that they prefer everything to be done using a computer, so that's what I did.

For my son's passport application I had no choice but to fill it out by hand because I was doing it in the Consulate...and I made several mistakes and had to do it over twice!! I was so nervous...don't know why...but finally I got it right. The girl working at the window thought it was quite funny...

My husband did tell me that it's easier to do it electronically but I said it's easier for me to do it by hand...I guess in this case, my husband was right and I should've listened to him. I did see it said that they prefer it to be done electronically but because I can write clearly and neat if I have to, I didn't think it would be a problem. Now I find out about the validation button, which I thought didn't apply to me cause I was writing it by hand...hope it's not going to be a major setback.
