I got the same response when I called about forgetting the pictures the rep wasn't a lot of help, but from the forum it looks like they ask for the information that's missing. I know it's a shock when you realize something is missing, it looks like you don't lose your spot if they do send it back so that's good news.

I am freaking out now. I was looking over my application and I noticed I didnt answer one question. I called CIC and asked and they said they could ask you for answer by calling or they could send the whole package back. If they send the whole package back.. you lost your spot and go to the end of the line :'(

Kaede, how long after you submitted the package did they return it to you ?

Thanks for the info. In our case its just one tiny question. I am going to try to stay calm and hope for the best.

exactly! it was stated at the top of all the forms, it says that TYPE or PRINT in black ink. that's what we did too..i only filled out electronically the generic application form since they said that it should come with a barcode, the rest were hand written. its been 3 months now and yet no update/response from them. they shouldve returned our application since it was also in hand written form..

brykim, where is your VO office? did you check to make sure your delivery got there ok with a registered tracking number? I think initial spousal approval normally takes 2-3months, depending on where your office is. you should hear something very soon hopefully?? are we the only 2 people who wrote out applications by hand??

Oh no...what question did you miss out? I sent out my package April 10, it arrived April 13...The letter that I got back with my package was dated for April 17 and was returned to me on May 1st and I mailed it straight back on the afternoon of May 1st...From what I've read on the forum, most of the CIC reps are pretty unhelpful and give false information so I would take what they say with a grain of salt. We have a wonderful network here so lets support each other thru this ;D

I redid a form right before submitting and forgot to add in my income for past 12 months and the total.. lets see what happens. Hopefully they will just call or request a newer version with the updated info. I cant believe I missed that. Ah.

This give me some hope.. if they are going to return it to me, atleast I know it will be in the next few days (hopefully)
