Yes it is a good idea to take a witness which can benefit your case. In other words, friends or family that knows about your relationship and can testify to it.

Gather documents that can proof your relationship. Honeymoon receipt, travel boarding passes, if you share houses or pay bills together that can help. Lots of pics. Chat and communication, call logs, letters from family and friends that attest to your marriage , money transfer receipt. these are the ones i can remember from the top of my head.
Yes a friend on the spot and another on the phone. But the judge was convinced in the first hour so it wasn’t necessary.
I took a witness as well, but the minister's counsel and judge decided to allow appeal before calling them to testify.
For anyone who had a lawyer handle their appeal and won on the spot at the hearing. Did you wait until you received decision letter (2 weeks) to remove your lawyer as your representative? I was going to remove her this weekend, but didn't get her bill yet and unsure if I am supposed to wait for the lawyer to receive the decision letter as I had her handle the case.

I’m stuck on the question if my husband was previously married. The problem was that his marriage to me wasn’t his first. He was previously “married” to someone a few years back and he had a kateb kteb but he and her weren’t registered legally in the lebanese court nor were they living together nor had any type of wedding to consummate their relationship. They were technically still in the engaged process even though they had the kateb kteb. In the end things didn’t work out between them so they went to the sheikh and divorced.
And now here’s what went wrong, I put “no” for the question that he was previously married because I had some people tell me it wouldn’t be considered him being previously married if it wasn’t legally registered in the lebanese court. And it wouldn’t apply to Canadian law as well.
So the officer refusal for our relationship not being genuine stemmed from me misunderstanding the question about his previous relationship/marriage before me.
I told them during the appeal why we had put no and that we didn’t have any intention in hiding any necessary information needed for the application.
Would I have to this time say yes that he was previously married and add the necessary information for that or keep it as no?

I'm worried coz my ex-wife complain like some kinda poison pen, so we got refusal. now last week we won IAD appeal. i'm worried if she send some kinda poison thing again.
We won our appeal on January 28. Few days ago on February 13 we got the requests for updated documents, police certificate, and passport biometric.
Whatever information you give about pervious marriage in your hearing, you should explain in your updated documents. Attach addendum with your documents explain about that pervious marriage.
