Evening,
We won appeal in March 2019. We got requested medicals, updated forms, police and biometrics. It was all requested by CPC-M. Does anyone know if the file will be moved from Mississauga to my husbands VO in his country for ppr? We are so confused. Our Ecas is not being updated as well.

Unfortunately, there’s no straight forward answer to that. It varies. I’ve seen both scenarios happen to different people. For myself, everything is being done in Mississauga (so far). ECAS takes awhile to update, I don’t pay attention to it much now lol

The judge told us we won at the hearing, but we got letter by mail roughly 8 days after the hearing.

Not all judges tell you at the hearing. I know many people who did not get told at the hearing and won. I'm sure everything is ok for you. Most everyone I know and read, they got decision letter within 2 weeks after winning. My hearing took place in Toronto.

It is more about what you have done with your spouse, if you can provide better documentation that cover the below then less tricky questions will be asked.

The genuineness of the marriage is based on a number of factors as identified in Chavez v. Canada (Minister of Citizenship and Immigration).[4] These can include, but are not limited to, such factors as:
• how the relationship developed;
• the intent of the parties to the marriage;
• the length of the relationship;
• the amount of time spent together; conduct at the time of meeting, at the time of an engagement and/or the wedding;
• behaviour subsequent to a wedding; the level of knowledge of each other’s relationship histories;
• levels of continuing contact and communication;
• the provision of financial support; the knowledge of and sharing of responsibility for the care of children brought into the marriage;
• the knowledge of and contact with extended families of the parties; and
• the level of knowledge about each other’s daily lives.
