Honestly I just opened the mailbox right now and I found the letter in there, Does anybody know what happens after this step plz fill me in I’m desperate
Is the letter the decision letter? Adding approx two months to the decision letter, you should get your additional documents. So if it’s dated March, you should get document request by May/June. Some receive it in 2-3 months. After that you just wait while they do background check :( this whole process is told to be 6-8 months. It varies.

I'm so sorry to hear you got refused! It seems they're getting very strict with this. Can I ask what sort of proof you provided them? I do hope they reconsider their refusal!

Hello there! In my first submission, I submitted the communication records with families in Canada, also my email records with real estate agents ( enquiring stage ), also records and quotations of pet relocation services. However, I was limited by the 3MB file size upload restrictions, so I only picked a few documents that I think should be convincing enough. After first submission, I actually resigned from my job due to the reason of leaving Hong Kong permanently, I was going to upload more documents as I learnt how to compressed a 11MB file to 1.5 MB, becoz i was giving 30 days time frame to do so. But they sent me a refusal before the deadline...

Hi,

however, is it possible to cancel my appeal afterward?

million thanks!! couldnt find answer to this question...

Hello Everyone,
Does anyone know how to get hold of someone at CIC immigration? Like to talk to a person on line? I got email saying “ it is my final notice I need to send them documents by certain date” and I have sent them everything 4 times. How can I assure they have received it properly? I have won my appeal and they had requested all the documents along with receipt of Biometric fees paid. How do I find out they have received it? Because they don’t email you back.

You can contact them at this number. This is how I contacted them to see if they received all of my documents we recently sent. 1-888-242-2100.

Thanks, I did try that number few time before but never got hold of a person. It’s automated. And when I press random numbers trying to get thorough it says unable to take more calls due to high volume. Seriously immigration is mental torture.

I know it's hard time trying to get in touch. But I keep trying and eventually I get through.

Sad news :( Depressing case...
Hello all! I am newly registered here, I am sponsoring my husband, however we both live outside canada because we do not want to separate during the application process. The whole process went through quite smoothly in the past 6 months, however we have received a Rejection/Refusal letter from the local visa office ( Hong Kong ). We are so heart broken, the refusal reason was they are “not satisfied” with the evidence to proof that I had intention to move back.

2 weeks ago they have requested us for the evidence before the decision was made, we sent it in right away upon request. I’ve tried to sent them the most convincing documents as possible. Yet, they just turn us down without giving a chance of interview to explain things further.

I am planning to go to the Consulate on Monday, and will also apply for Appeal.
Do I need to send in other evidence along with the appeal form?
million thanks if anyone here could give me some advise...we did everything by ourselves because we really can’t afford a lawyer or a consultant. And It seems they dont trust me in moving back makes me feel like I am not welcome to return to my country :’(
From what I understand living outside Canada the only how I know that will work is that you had to show them that you have strong ties to Canada and that the job you doing there was through a Canada company that way if you decide to move back you can show them that seem company have a position in Canada for you it all about paying tax as of right now you only hold a Canadian ID but you not paying any tax I sure if you had a lot of money in the bank here or you own your own business here it wouldn’t have been a problem right away they will approve it they don’t even care if you have kids with the person cause I have 2 kids with my husband and they still refuse my application best of luck the only thing is to move back to Canada find a job visit while the application is been processed get letters from friends family let him take out a life insurance there put you as the beneficiary of it now you have to prove 2 things to them that your relationship is genuine and that your partner is not doing it just for papers to enter Canada
