I'm from Canada my husband of 2.5 years is from Tunisia . I guess they are processing appeal win files in Ontario now rather then file going back overse

Yes they are but I was told after Ottawa is done, then they will send it back to our counties for the issue of the visa...lots of people from Calgary are on this thread.

CIC Ottawa told me that if the case isn’t complex it will stay in ottawa( and that’s where you want it to be processed) or if it goes back to the country where your spouse is they could be re-interviewed and possible denied again (on other grounds) our file has started processing in Ottawa after two weeks of the appeal so we are hoping it will stay there and only be asked to send Passport to KVO. Praying everyone gets the same

Amazing! Within a month you will get a request for updated forms. Get things ready so that you can forward right away and not waste any more time!

How long after you send in updated forms should you be contacted? What is the waiting time from this point

Oh interesting who told you this ? A lawyer I was working with earlier for the ADR said that now all successful appeal are processed in Ottawa .

Are you also waiting ? What has been your timeline and experience

Hi mweselake...we applied for an ADR in October and we have not received an approval letter. However, I called IAD and they told me that we have been approved for an ADR, but the date has not been set. My lawyer called the IAD and they thought that the ADR may be in March.
Mweselake - what is your timeline? I am in Calgary too and it would be good to know what the timeline is for being accepted for an ADR to an actual date.

Wow.. mine was just right away...i was lucky then

I'm very sad, and I just cry, for full hearing and 2 to 3 years?

I hear you, even if you have the financial means to visit your spouse as often as you want, but realistically how many vacation days can you get in a year without being fired? And then it is close to impossible to get a travel visa for you spouse now since he/she had already been rejected once, and if you decided to move back to live with our spouse until your hearing this would mean quitting your job in Canada. I don't know why the government is treating us so differently, even those Syrian refugees can live better than us in Canada.

Hello, I am from Dhaka, to give u a genaral idea of the time frame...take a look at my timeline, Adr haled in Calgary in last week of sept. Got my ADR decision letter after 3 weeks in Oct mid, nothing after that, just waiting for medical, PCC and updated form request. It seems like it may take 4 months to make everything done. sorry to say u r 2 months behind my timeline, so it may take 5 to 6 months to get the visa, if everything is ok. so keep passion, we r almost done, now just pray, and look forward, and be positive.
