Hi
I got my PR in september 2016, I went to canada for 20 days...came back on 13th october as my marriage was on 20th november.
I landed in toronto..came back..got married and my marriage certificate has address of toronto.
Is it possible that now i move to BC and sponsor my spouse from there or I have to sponsor him from toronto only?

Saw this in a other section; thought it might help you. Proof of common-law relationship:

Provide documentation from 2 of the 3 sets of options for evidence of current cohabitation (for a minimum of 12 months):
-Joint ownership of residential property or joint residential leases or joint rental agreements listing both the sponsor and the principal applicant (Minimum 1 document)
-Proof of joint utilities accounts (Electricity, Gas, Telephone) (Minimum 1 Document)
-Important documents for you and your sponsor showing the same address, such as copies of government issued identification documents: driver's licenses, insurance policies, etc. (Minimum 1 Document)

If you can prove the opposite for the three years you were together, it might help in your claims. Maybe utility bills still in your parent's names throughout the period, important documents showing you and your boyfriend at different addresses over the same period, etc.

Yes, maybe that can help to prove our claim. We dont have any residential leases, utility bills was under my parents name and all his ids was address in their home.

You can email scanned copies of the documents both to Ottawa and to your visa office.

I have been following this thread for over 2 yrs now. I am in the same situation as you all here.

MY TIMELINE :

SPONSORED MY SPOUSE : MAY 2014
INTERVIEW : NOV 2014
DENIED : JAN 2015
FILED APPEAL : JAN 2015
GOT BLUE BOOK : APR 2015

GOT CALL ABOUT HEARING: MARCH 2017
FULL HEARING SCHEDULED FOR : EARLY JULY 2017

My spouse was denied because they didnt think our marriage was genuine.

Does anyone have any advice on how to be successful at the hearing?
