Hi Wintersnow I have a question to ask you,

1) You said your lawyer send a letter out after you receive the blue book, so did you lawyer also send in all the additional proofs like the 1000 pages of chats, wire transfer etc along with the letter together? IS this done before you know you will have a ADR?

2) And because your lawyer send in a letter of explanation and all the additional materials together after you receive the blue book, you get an ADR instead of a full hearing correct?

I am trying to figure out when to send in the additional materials, I want to increase my chance to get an adr, so I wonder just a letter to the IAD will be sufficient. Thx.

1) Yes ... lawyer sent everything in one package a few weeks after we received the blue book. It actually took about 8 weeks for us to assemble all the data and cover letter after we received the blue book

2) I can't say for sure ... but I believe it helped. The way I see it, I sent only a small amount of information in my original application (big mistake). I think that once the minister's counsel saw all the information (1000 pages, etc.) it made them think an ADR was worthwhile. The volume of proof certainly makes them second guess the original VO's opinion the relationship is fake.

I recommend you send all information you have as soon as possible. You will have to send it anyways. Also, when they give you an ADR or Full Hearing date make sure you send all the new information that happened since your last submission. I think you have to have it in 10 days before the ADR and 20 days before the Full Hearing.

I think we sent information 3 times over the course of our appeal.

You will be notified within 6 months I believe if you have been selected for adr or hearing. You file for appeal and they will look at your case and decide what setting will be appropriate to settle your application getting your blue book is a good start read it over ours had so many errors in it it wasn't funny. (many came up during our hearing)

On a side note trying to figure out if I can go after the government for breach of privacy as the consultant that is not representing (terminated in 2014) us just received notice from cbsa and cic as to our case and and they are once again demanding money from us because the appeal was one.... and I'm the one who did it. Pretty ticked right now last time I spoke with cbsa they said the documents would be sent to my house in Canada and they just sent them to a consultant operating in a foreign country.

Government needs to get their act together

You can not sue the government. All you can do is file a complaint with the privacy commission.

You should have received a letter from them acknowledging your desire to appeal within 2 weeks of filing. I would call.

Hi Emaan3
The only quick part of PR application I've found is the appeal notification you should receive it within about 2-3 weeks of you filing your paperwork request the paper see my timeline filed on the 10 of march received notice on the first of april definitly call IAD # is 1-866-790-0581 have your immigration file on hand they will need the file #

yes i received that but for the hearing date.. how long they take ?

Hi guys, I am curious since Canada post might go on strike at any moment, can I fax to IAD and update them with my email address? Because on the original appeal form there is only email entry for the counsel but not for the appellant. And I don't think I am using a lawyer to represent my case.

Thx

Hi Emaan3,

You won't get a date until you recieve your Blue book at earliest they recieve it a bit before you do then they have to review it so at least 3 months from your notice depending on where your file is comming from I believe it's 3-5 months for your blue book to get processed then they will determine if they want to send it to ADR or a hearing and that notice will be 3 months or so after the BB the date for a hearing can be a year or more ADR can be within 6 months I believe if you would like to get an update call the # i provided in previous post they can confirm if they have received your BB and can also tell you what the expected wait time is for hearings when you call they will try to connect you with the agent assigned to your case if possible.

The lady at mp's office called IAD for me. She was told we are front of the line. However being in Sask. we will probably be scheduled for hearing in January or February 2017.
Unless a miracle happens. We wait one year already. From June 22, 2015.
