Hi Guys, I have a question regarding interpreter for my appeal. I myself (Appellant) doesn't require an interpreter, however my wife's english is not that great and she would require one in case she need to do the tele-conference. When I submitted my request for appeal I checked that my appeal will be conduct in english. So my question is when I get an ADR or a full hearing is there an option for me to request an interpreter for my wife or I should write to IAD now and request one now?

Thx.

Yes, you can give your request for an interpreter when you get your final hearing date at ADR/Court.

Well ... finally my wife got the medical request. Took 5 months 2 weeks from the date of our successful appeal.

I was told that even after you have a successful appeal, Ottawa looks at your file one more time before they send it to the visa office for final processing. So, I assume the 5 months we waited was due to Ottawa re-verifying the appeal and our case.

Just how many checks and balances do they need? My god, my wife is not a criminal, she just want to join me in Canada.
congratulations ,wintersnow wish you all the best

Hey guys. Was wondering if I could get your your opinions

My husband is in Albania and I'm jere in Vancouver and after 2 and a half years we had a successful appeal.

Our appeal was actually cancelled before our scheduled appeal date and approved and sent to CPO Ottawa for further processing!!!

Our time line is...2016

March 21 - full day appeal scheduled .
March 10- appeal canceled and appeal approved due to an incredible error of law and reason for denial was legally invalid
March 31 - CPC received application for Permanent residence
April 5 - Sent a letter and email requesting documents to continue processing application and also said thank you for your interest in Canada ( two passport photos, copy of biometrics page on passport, receipt of the right of permanent residence fee, updated medical and police checks, and also updated imm0008 - application for PR, imm5406 - additional family information, and im5669 schedule a )
May 26 - received all requested documents
June 21 - meds received.

Can anyone tell me how much longer it will be and what next step is ??

We are getting way to excited and from what we are hearing he should be coming home soon but it almost seems to good to be true.

Thank you

I filed appeal in June 2015. Letter confirming June 22, 2015. Bluebook received Nov 10. 141 Days. Hoped for it sooner. Mostly.blame.the election. Just my luck. My lawyer didn't feel an adr would be successful. Yes I know they make more money of it goes to appeal. We had red flags. And if that wasn't enough the VO lied and made my husband sound like he didn't know enough about me. But he answered all questions. Anyhow. Not an easy adr fix I felt as well. After reading on here.
Why we're you refused? tuoicao

What was the legally.invalid reason?

The visa officer has no doubt about our marriage and in not being genuine but denied us based on his previous marriage. Instead of focusing on the marriage in front of her that she stated time and time again was genuine she focused on a previous marriage. That then gave us merit to our case and IAD ruled the denial was legally invalid and an error of the law.

The next thing should be the PPR which may take a month or so. So not too long more, you are almost at the end.

Thax for your kind reply

furthermore already i hired a Lawer perhaps he is not capable to give me answer my question.
situation is
Feb 23, 2016 received letter from AID(Immigration Appeal Division) Feb 23.2016, In which IAD requested to provide written reply with documents in support of my appeal to the IAD Registry Office and to the Minister’s counsels by March 24, 2016. , and the Minister’s counsel will have twenty-eight (28) days to respond in writing to IAD and me (Appellant).
my question is very simple

Now more than 100 days past instead of 28 days and minister council did not reply to appellant as well to IAD.
How long IAD wait for the reply from ministers council of what IAd have to do next.
regards

You should call up the IAD office and find out whats going on with your file. That is too long to wait.

Hello everyone, just want to know has anyone hear any case where they have gotten the medical done 3 rd time as my 2 nd medical is expiring in September.
Will they request for my passport before tht?
We won appeal in july 2015 anyone else with same time as mine like 1 year after winning appeal still no passport request?

I don't think your 3rd medical will expire. Give it about 3 more weeks or so before you get PPR since it has only been 3 weeks since you sent in all your documents.

Hello everyone,

I got my complete file from CBSA, and few things, I'm not able to understand. What would be the next step for me, I already gathered all additional documents/pictures etc.
How important a lawyer or immigration consultant is? Should I be sending all documents/pictures to CBSA?
Please assist.

The next step will be getting your appeal date. They will contact you once they are ready to set an appeal date. You will also have to submit all your evidence to the IAD and Minister Counsel I believe 20 days before the hearing. In the mean time gather all the evidence that you will need for your appeal.
