Better to put a new application if you applied more than 2 years for sponsorship. Waiting for a hearing date is waste...

OR

Write a letter to appeal office stating that you been waiting long enough. It's good to keep bugging them to remind them about your hearing. Write the real reason to have appeal fast. Send all your recent proves pictures, email, everything you have.

You have to give 3 copies. 1 to your lawyer, the Ministry, and to your case officer. Call the appeal office and ask for your case officer name. All proves and letter copies should be kept with you. Make each copy and send to LAWYER, MINISTRY, and to CASE OFFICER. When writing the letter, state in salutation who the letter is for (Ministry or the Case officer). My lawyer never told me about this, I found out and was offered for an interview on March 2015.

Good LUCK!

P.S. You have to make the appeal office open your file, and bug them few times.

Did you get an ADR date? when did you file the appeal? We appealed in March 2014 and received the blue book in August and since then we haven't received anything :(

I was keep bugging the appeal office by sending them letters and proves that I had. Just keep asking them for a faster ADR date. They gave me ADR on December 2014, and was cancelled and they booked me IAD in January 2015, and that was cancelled too, now my IAD hearing is on March 2015. I appealed in February 2014.

I did and all I got was automatic responses. For case specific I am supposed to mail them so I guess that is what I will have to do

Hi all, I am just in the beginning of this appeal process and wondered a few things.

*Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of proof I should be collecting/preparing?

*I am planning a trip back to see my spouse soon, anything I could do while there to help our case? My mother is planning to come also since she has never met my spouse yet and since we have to wait what looks like about 3 years, I thought it would be good for her to go while she is well enough.

*I would love to also hear from more members here what kind of questions are asked at the full hearings as well as ADR

Thanks everyone!

Its all depend on why your file is rejected. My lawyer suggested me to make a foreign trip, both of your passport with different country visa, flight tickets, hotel and other receipts. Also save your mother's ticket and boarding pass when she visit your spouse. hope this help.

Ask someone from vancouver, when they received the ADR or IAD dates there is contact number on the letter. From that number you can easily get someone to talk with you and provide your file details. best of luck.

Hi Splinterz420 ..my full hearing was also in Vancouver I applied may 2014 and had my appeal October 31 2014..i wonder why yours take so long..

Holy (expletive)!...No kidding...do you have the phone # as Mrs Malek stated in the post before yours? But your timeline says interview May 28, 2013(if you meant to say 2013 in your post it would make sense 18 months) how did you file for appeal almost one year later then?
