My husband called the cairo offfice and no one picks up the ph..he will go on sunday to ask about his rejection letter and hope the wil give it to him..

Good luck, when my husband went they told him, "no one here needs to speak to you, your not canadian so if you want, send your wife"........its too frustrating to go and wait and get sent away with nothing.

omg really?? ugh well i emailed them too but nothing yet..i will tell my husband not to go because the will sent him away anyways..
You know my husband ask me everyday to come to him in Egypt to live there he is a lawyer in Giza maybe if it takes to long or there is no more hope i will move to him....Inshallah we will get it soon..

I have thought about that many times too, just move to Egypt, the only problem is that Canada wont believe we intend to settle in Canada....... my consultant told me that would be a bad idea....... I can't beleive it........ In my mind it speaks volumes as to the validity of the relationship...... honestly I dont know what they think in CIC :-X :-[

Hi,

I do not know if he is just depressed or is just lazy. I am sorry, but you need to put your foot down...It is truly amazing what you have down for your relationship, just amazing, and you deserved the best...! This is not acceptable. I hope things start looking up....

As for us, my hubby is scheduled for an interview in three weeks in Algiers. Crossing fingers...

Age difference is a red flag, short courtship before marriage is another one. I know two specific cases here with a history of short courtship before marriage and they are about the same age. They got denied and got ADR (they won it).

Keep a positive mind to attract good vibes :)

Things are still challenging... my husband is stuck in this phase, that is rejecting and criticizing everything about Canada and comparing Morocco, moroccan life, moroccan food and moroccan people to everything here. It is like trying to fit a square in a circle... We also have the challenge about $$$. He still does not realize how expensive it is in Canada and contributes little for now. We have regular fights about this... I contributed most of my money for 5 years to make things happen and it breaks my heart that he does not want to do the same now he is working...

My husband and i are maried 2 years and been together 4 all together and we were still deneid visa for him..we just started this year in feb 2013 for sponsorship so we were together 3.5 years that to me is not a short courtship..I never paid anything my husband paid it all ..

Yes, but in your case, they are mainly using the age difference as the red flag....

Hello guys here,

Can anyone tell me, how long does it takes to get hearing date after receiving Blue Book in Vancouver especially. For its been over a month since i have received my Blue Book. I am so depressed coz of this waiting period. Feel like taking some kind of action against this super slow lazy process. Who says Vancouver waiting times are shorter than anywhere else. This waiting time sucks....

Thanks

hi, Guguz I received my blue book 45 days ago , I asked my lawyer about next step so he said "you are expecting any news in December, 2013 or march 2014. so I called IAD office in Toronto. they asked me about case type, file number, date of birth, full name who is your lawyer then she checked my file and told me every thing she said you'r looking any date next year. but it was in Toronto. I think you call IAD office in Vancouver and request for all detail I'm sure they will figure out and tell you when you expecting any news and that news will tell you its ADR or Full hearing.

Hi everyone,

I've been reading this thread and I feel for all of you having to go through this appeal process. I've read the reasons for refusals and it has scared me that this could happen to the most genuine relationships.

I am sponsoring my husband from Albania, we have very different cultures and religions. And I am 10 years older than my husband. And there is no work there for him and I do my best to financially support him.

As I am seeing here these are all red flags for us. Our marriage is 100% genuine dispite our differences.

I was wondering if you would share with me anything you think you would have done differently. If any. Add more photos, letters, etc. do you have any regrets that you think could have changed the decision of refusal.

Thanks so much for any insight and I wish you all the best in the appeal process.

Things have started to get much better a few days after I wrote this post. I have no complaint so far. My husband is very attentive and dedicated. Harmony, joy and cooperation are more present among us :D
