Hey Mrs. Selim,

I want to say I'm really sorry about your refusal, however, the good news for you is, if you're so sure of yourself that 100% you guys have a genuine relationship, and you have the facts to back it up by the time your appeal arrives, then you will have a great chance of successfully appealing the refusal. Most people who go through appeal have a good chance of appealing the decision, based on some of the statistics I've seen on newspapers.

Sorry all but I'm a little confused maybe you can clarify my confusion...If anyone who is appealing a decision without a refusal letter...how do you know you were refused...they cant expect you to know the decision they made based on CAIPS notes can they? And I would imagine that the count down for an appeal would only start after the refusal letter is issued....And for those who did not receive a refusal letter...how do you know you were refused?...I mean if the interview went bad with the IO they have to take it to a senior Officer..who might think differently from the interviewing officer...Can anyone who has not received the refusal letter tell me how they know they were refused at all???

well we got the caips notes and in there it say he wont give my husband visa..and he told my husband you will received your rejection letter within 2 weeks well its been allmost 4 months..

And this he told your husband right after the interview, that he was not going to issue a visa?

Hi, when my husband was refused, after 2 weeks waiting for refusal letter we went together to the embasy in vienna and asked to give us refusal letter, as we didnt want to waste our time waiting. They printed the letter within 5 minutes and gave us. Cant you or ur husband go to the embassy and ask to do same thing?? They shouldnt have any problem doing that as they save all these docs.

Typically you must wait for the formal letter, but in my situation (much like Mrs. Selim) Cairo office has not sent us our letter dispite many emails from me, my MP and consultant. So baised on the caips notes, it is a certainty that we are rejected due to "bad faith" so we have chosen to make this "informal appeal" baised on the notes. It is not a guarentee... but at the very least it would force them to to their job's in Cairo and roll into the startings of a "formal appeal".... clear as mud .. right?

That is ok, if we are in Egypt, but we are not and they refuse to speak to our husbands.

I am so surprised about how the immigrations works. They are just playing with our and our loved ones lives... I wish I could get some way out to make things move faster. I wish God give then the heart to understand the pain that we all are going through....

I am disgusted at the way the embassies have treated you all..I mean they should have gave you (if they had any hearts) a letter right away stating they're final decision...that way everybody could have made a "formal" appeal and not have to wait to get things moving for you all....Bless those of you that are staying strong through this whole process even when you are facing bumps in the road...It will be 4 months since my husbands interview tomorrow and I hope by the grace of god I hear good news...because I dont know if I could be as strong as all of you....good luck to all and I will be visiting your thread to see how things are going for you all. My husband called the cairo offfice and no one picks up the ph..he will go on sunday to ask about his rejection letter and hope the wil give it to him..
