hello! I just want to know if my friend's case is subject for denial...here's her story: She went to Canada last year to visit her girlfriend and eventually got married there. Since, same sex marriage is not allowed in their country. However, she declared \that she had a common-law back home since that was the advise of the consultant that she hired upon acquiring a tourist visa...and now, they are fixing her paper and she's worried that declaring a common-law might affect their application...though, they hired a lawyer in Canada and the lawyer said that she must tell the truth on their application to be upfront and come clean upon submission of the application. What are her chances? Could this be a reason for denial? I personally don't know what to tell her since I have no idea how it works...hope you could share your idea...Thanks!
