Alberta, I told my consultant I would travel to Vancouver though.wintersnow said:What province are you in?
Alberta has longer wait times than BC. At least that is what the IRB representative told us when we had our ADR in August. You should have a contact person at the IRB ... I believe it is indicated in the letter they sent you. You can call this person to request an update. Or, get your consultant to call for you. That is their job.NKT0817 said:Alberta, I told my consultant I would travel to Vancouver though.
I did email him to contact them for follow up, he is back from holidays next week. I too heard alberta is longer.wintersnow said:Alberta has longer wait times than BC. can you tell me how would you prepare for the interview if you knew from beggining what you know now ?...pls tell me all what we should do to prove that our marriage is genuine and pass the interview...thxwintersnow said:Hi deeafahd,
Don't despair. Just because we had a rude VO doesn't mean you will too. I wish I had known then what I know now about the whole process. We would have been more prepared for the interview.
Don't expect the worst ... just be prepared for it if it happens OK.
I think I would have accompanied my wife to the interview. My consultant told me of a case where the VO indicated to the wife he was going to reject her. The husband insisted to speak to a supervisor and the VO reversed let her through.deeafahd said:can you tell me how would you prepare for the interview if you knew from beggining what you know now ?...pls tell me all what we should do to prove that our marriage is genuine and pass the interview...thx

In my case, the VO was absolutely rude to my wife. I don't think he would have done this had he known I was there. And if my wife came out and told me she was abused at the interview I would have DEMANDED to speak to a supervisor.
your husband can't accompany you in the interview. He can only accompany you to the embassy. I would investigate this more before doing this. I am not 100% sure about how this is done.deeafahd said:hmm thx for your adivice...I talked to my husbund about it and we hope he will be beside me at the interview (if they will ask for one ) ...he also said they don't have have the rigt to talk rude with me and he will protect me
I agree, they do not let you into the interview. I too had accompanied my husband to his interview, but I had to wait outside while he was inside during the interview.wintersnow said:your husband can't accompany you in the interview. Were you in the same building as your husband? Was there a receptionist or someone you could make a request to see a supervisor?WaitingSince2012 said:I agree, they do not let you into the interview.
