I don't know ... there is no apparent logic to the way CIC does things. Like, why did my file stay stuck in Ottawa for 6 months? You can always order the ATIP notes to get details of your file. It takes about 1 month to receive it and it costs $5.

Can't say for sure. My file was transferred to foreign visa office too. It took 5 months for Ottawa to transfer the file to China. In our case, I think it was sent to China because we were missing data in our file. Some of the forms we submitted in the original application weren't sufficient...

I am seeing on the forum that the decision on most cases is not on the same day. Hard to say really.

Our full hearing lasted 2 hours and the MC and judge gave us the yes right away.

We had ECAS changed to DM and received the PPR shortly after that. You should get it soon. They change to DM before they send the PPR.

Don't worry ... the same VO does not look at your file. Also, you were initially refused because of the subjective opinion of the VO. There are no more "opinions" from here on in. It's all FACT. They will just ask you for updated forms to see if anything has changed ... and a new medical. About...

where did you get the status information from?

it took us about a month or so to go from security check to RFV (ready for visa). Note ... there is a difference between background check and security check. If your ATIP notes say background check then it might mean you have a longer wait.

Congratulations !! Did you have your interview in Beijing or Hong Kong. If it was Beijing I'd bet we had the same guy. My wife referred to him as a "bitter old bald man". He fabricated my wife's answers too.

lol ... they sent us an email requesting docs in July ... the last entry in our ecas is the note saying they sent us docs. They have not updated it at all and now our status is decision made and my wife received her ppr. ecas is pretty much useless. If you want to know the status of your cases...
