Filed appeal march of this year got my blue book august 6. Called iad toronto today to see if our case would be going adr or hearing. They were kind enough to break me, our case has been selected for full hearing and while date has not been set I should be expecting a date around nov-dec 2016. I just can't fathom what these people are thinking my wife and I want to start a family were almost @ 2 years now by the time we get a hearing my wife will be 40 she has been told by many doctors her chances of having children are already low. We don't have the funds to fly around the world regularly to try. We were rooked by an immigration consultant already and we're about to loose my wifes family farm because of him canada has litterally ruined our lives. I don't know what to tell my wife right now we've been patiently waiting for these goof balls to get their act together when you call them and they say well the wait is only 2 years. ONLY who the heck thinks 2 years is an only term waiting a 2-3 weeks is an only I'm so depressed right now.
I am upset to hear your story, very sad. The immigration won't understand other's life unless they go through same situation like us.

Hi all.... I have been here a couple of months viewing posts. I must say I am thoroughly disgusted in what I see as a trend. So many of these officers performing interviews and refusing our spouses entry make me SICK!!! My case is no different... Officer makes my husband fly from Dubai to Jordan for interview on 17th of August if that weren't bad enough makes come back on 19th as well ... A total of 5 hours of brutal interrogation like he were some criminal ... Or better yet a "Terrorist".... Questioned him on our sex life, etc. Then referred to me as a "sickly d woman who can't have children"... Yes he is 43 me 50... Welcome to Canada last I heard it wasn't a crime or unlawful for wife to be older then husband... She referred to me as this several times pissing my husband off although he remained pleasant... I'm a diabetic and older then my husband but I AINT DEAD!!! How dare she refuse us after making him go through all that and waste money flying there and accommodations ... They even forgot him in embassy on the 19th for hour and half waiting. Needless to stay I have started appeal... We have been married flow two years and in relationship going on 4 years ... Please everyone pray for us, Insha'Allah this process is not long because flying back and forth to Dubai and staying is COSTLY!!!

After reading these posts it makes me feel so sad and worried. I have just started filling out the forms, I live in Mexico with my husband and we want to move to Canada. I am a Canadian and want to sponsor my husband. I have no income right now.

I hired an immigration lawyer and today really regret it. The don't know what the heck they are doing and I think they will screw up our application now.

I feel so bad for everyone and all the pain and bs they have gone through and fear we will go through the same.

God Bless everyone.

Try to think positive. Even if things get screwed up, you can always appeal. My partner is also Mexican.

Just make sure you double check everything on the forms before they are sent in.

At least you don't have to worry about 'slow downs' at many embassies including Mex. Best wishes :)

you may get selected for an ADR (alternative dispute resolution) which speeds up the waiting a great deal. Furthermore, you are filing through Vancouver and the good news is that wait times are somewhat reasonable.

Try not to pull your hair out as I did. Deep breathing, visualization and the odd tranquilizer worked for me.

Best wishes ! :D
