The first statement (the one provided by CIC) is correct. The first statement stays that CIC believes your marriages isn't genuine and it was entered for the purposes of facilitating immigration.

Again, the first statement is accurate. The second is not.

I think Both statements are correct.... Second statement means that the officer was not satisfied that the relationship was not entered into primarily for the purpose of acquiring permanent residence in Canada.....

Unfortunately, this is not correct English. Only the first sentence is correct. The second is not.

No lawyer needed? I already with the lawyer just in the safe side. OH god, so I am the one who going to be with the Immigration officer? This going to be much harder. I get nervous easily. How was your feel when you got interviewed? :-[
As I said you can keep the lawyer for paper work if you think you can't handle it your self. Don't be nervous, they ask you very straight forward question specifically your case. You are not lying or hiding anything so you don't have to be nervous at all. Just be yourself and answer every thing based on question. I had prepared at least 50 questions that I thought they would ask me then I prepare for those with my consultant as well as with my husband. I cant tell you what will they ask you because it is all very specific to your case. Let me know if you want to know anything else. I am here to help.

I just received my record last week and I was only refused for one reason which section A.39 financial refusal. Do you know if it will go to ADR or full hearing? And how long would it be before I here from them? They refused because my father's tax assessment was zero but this year we showed taxes for my parents and me. And I held a few temp jobs over past few months and I have been unemployed for about 4 months now. Would this affect my husband's visa? When did you send your paper work after the booklet? Do you think I should send mind now? Any advice will help. Thanks in advance

Hi Siva,

Sorry to hear about your husband's refusal. I don't know much about appeals, but I'm sure others will be able to answer.

Since the refusal was based on financial reasons, it will be good for you to continue looking for work... being employed for longer periods will show a bit more stability. If your husband has any savings or investments back home, also include it as proof.

Just curious, what kind of jobs are looking for/interested in? Do you have specific barriers impeding your job search process? Are you open to working in another field(i.e. transfer skills)? I ask because Service Canada and/or YMCA may have some career coaching/job search skills workshops which can be helpful. If you aren't already, try networking and let people in your social circle know you are looking for work.

Also, have you considered putting up an ad on www.kijiji.ca advertising your skills/experience and the kind of job you are looking forward? Some employers(e.g. employment agencies) search and respond to ads on there.
Caution: If someone contacts you through kijiji to discuss a job opportunity, please always meet them in a public place like Starbucks, Tim Hortons(where there are other people), etc for safety reasons and never at your house or the person's house.
Best wishes and hope it all works out at your appeal hearing.

Hi SenoritaBella,

Thanks for the reply. Yes I registered with goodwill employment and went to their workshops. I've applied through kijji but never posted my resume or qualifications on the website maybe I should do that. I am looking for jobs in office clerk, accounting, inventory, courier, data entry are few jobs that I have applied for. I have paystubs for since September 2013 to April 2014. After April I have been unemployed. My husband doesn't have any savings or properties. He use to work for an NGO but it closed down.

I checked again my refusal. It said: marriage must be genuine or was not entered primarily to come to Canada.

OR; so it will be one law applicable to refuse the application and he applied marriage must be genuine because he didn't mentioned anything why he felt marriage was entered primarily to come to canada.

then he explained why he felt marriage certificate was not Genuine.

He didn't mention - Bad faith or fake relationship

Now, I have received the Pictures too. I will file for ADR and I think my case will be successful in ADR when we will show marriage pictures, Certificate and witness letters.

I would not post your resume on kijiji, since it will have your contact information(address, etc) on it.
What I meant was to post an ad(no Resume) and just briefly describe your work experience, skills, the type of work you are looking for, etc. Then ask people to contact you if they have a job vacancy. Once someone replies to your ad, you can then decide if you want to send them your resume.
Here are some job websites:
www.careerbeacon.com
www.wowjobs.ca
www.jobbank.gc.ca
www.carearbuilder.com or www.careerbuilder.ca
www.eluta.ca

It's a good thing you've worked for about 8 months. The job market is so hard now, but do continue trying. I'm sure something good will come along soon.

Thanks hhassa. Could you please help me with questions that they might ask. Thanks I appreciate your help. Only prove I shown sent to ADR that I am currently 6 months pregnant. Hopefully, this case will solve my problem. Would that be good for misinterpreted refusal?

Hi Dear,

I am sorry but I have no idea how do they handle financial refusal cases. But normally if this is something that you have rectified and is not an issue anymore and will send as an update in your supporting document, you could probably get an ADR. I personally don't feel that you should get a full hearing. Based on my research for over 2 years  I have found that cases that have many major issues mostly goes to full hearing.
I would recommend try to send supporting docs ASAP however, one thing to know that they don't look at your supporting documents until it has been decided if you are getting ADR or full hearing. So don't rush but have everything at it best and send. I send everything before 20 days of my ADR date.
Also to know that sometimes they can raise points that may not have raised by the officer such as why did you not visit your husband recently or other way around. What I am trying to say here is that officer wrote in my husband's rejection letter 3 issues although during ADR they only talked about 1 of 3 things and but otherwise they asked everything like how many times I visited, dates I stayed, relationship with family etc. Let me know if you have any other question. Are you from Toronto?
