So far I haven't seen any rejection on PSK issues PCC from India. So you should be good.

My concern is same too. I got PCC issued from SSP office and it mentions my current address only even though i lived at a different address in the same city(different police station) for 2 years.
Do we have any Punjab applicant who got pcc issued from psk and it was accepted by cic??....as cic expressly mentions ssp office pcc for applicants of Punjab.

Get your PCC from PSK. It is accepted by CIC.

CIC states that for Punjab residents, if you go for Police certificate then it should be from SSP or Commissioner. IF you go for a certificate from PSK, then you should be fine.

I got my application rejected precisely because of the same reason that I got it from SSP office and it mentioned a single address.

So I would suggest you to definitely go for PSK PCC to be safe

Thanx for the valuable info dude. Can u plz confirm in what format does PSK issue PCC??...as my experience with SSP dept has been pathetic so far. I called ssp dept today and they said we only issue pcc with address as per passport no matter what. But in my case i lived at different address (same city) till i was 20. So this current address pcc wont serve my purpose.
U r from Punjab and your Psk pcc has been accepted by cic......right??
Kindly clear the air.
Regards

Yes buddy, PSK will issue a PCC with only passport number mentioned which states that the bearer holds no criminal charges.

Since no address/duration of stay is mentioned, it supersedes the multiple address issue.

I used the same while submitting my second applications. PM in case you need any more details

Hello friends:

My timeline in my signature.

All the best to everyone.

Can u plz confirm if they accepted your PSK issued PCC even though u hail from Punjab??.... Furthermore plz specify the format in which psk issues pcc.
My experience with ssp dept has been pathetic as they issued me pcc with my current address specifically mentioned on it even though i lived at a different address for 2 years in the same city in the last 10 years.
Thanx in advance.

PSK PCC is acceptable by CIC for all indian applicants. it is not bound to any address or dates. Just passport number is mentioned on it.

Thanx dude.....however my only concern is that cic website has expressly mentioned ssp office pcc for Punjab applicants on its website.

PSK issue PCC which only mentions Passport number stating that the bearer has no criminal records.

Since, address/time of stay is not mentioned, it supersedes the issue for multiple addresses.

I have used the PSK and it has been accepted in the initial completeness check.

Go ahead with PSK

As I mentioned, this point only holds if you go for Police PCC, then Punjab residents should get it from SSP and others from their local police station

CIC website mentions that you may get PCC from SSP office. It does not say that "you must get your PCC from SSP office" :D

Sandy 22 g confirm one more thing here - For PSK issued PCC, will there be any physical verification done at address mentioned in passport. As this was the case for one I inititated last month from SSP office. If yes, then this request is routed to your area Police Station or what?
