Hello all ,

I am originally from Karachi , Pakistan and a Canadian PR in Toronto since the past 10 months. I applied for a 6 months visit visa for my mother who lives in Karachi, Pakistan having Pakistani passport , around 7 months back but it got refused with reasons like insufficient ties to home country ,insufficient funds , insufficient documentation to support host's income and assets and that visa officer was not satisfied she would return etc..

I am planning to apply again but this time my mother will include her job letter( 5 years work experience) and NOC from employer giving her 4 months off also indicating the date to rejoin work again.. She also has property and club membership( which she did not show last time) in her name . She also applied for a UK visit visa 2 months back( to visit her brother in UK) and got it successfully ..

Now I have following questions:

(1)What amount of funds for her is considered sufficient for a 6 months visit visa?

(2)Can she apply for a Canadian TRV ( 6 months visit visa) from London , UK being a visitor there or does she have to apply from her country of origin??
(3) How much funds should I have in the bank account , considering I am inviting her
(3) Over all chances of her application looking at her story

She does not have any other children or grandchildren in Pakistan , with me being the only son.

Any useful advice will be appreciated.

Regards,

Adil Shamim

Your mother can apply for visa from England, but chances are slim compared to her home country. Its better that she visits england before she applies for Canada. However, it still does not gurantee the visa. Attach her job letter and property papers etc to prove her ties with the country.

The official wait time in the website is 79 days. Hang in there. You'll find something. Usually the rejection comes fairly quickly. If you haven't heard anything yet and the file is in process then it's looking good

Hi, Atleast that means taht your app was complete and is accepted for considering visa issuance. The number starts from "v" represents the file no issued to a visitor visa applicant most probably.
Good luck.

Salam to everyone

Hope Ramadan going great for everyone. Two days before my file transfer to Islamabad from Ottawa. What I have found on this forum that Ottawa sometimes misleads by sending this kind of application transfer email and In actual file is still in process. I don't know Is it true or not? What you guys have experienced about it? Your thought on that highly appreciated. And I have one more question here that since I don't have any work and travel history, as I am a student. Having nil travel and work history can pace up my application process?

Thankx

Yes Sir, I had applied with following documents:

1. Visa forms.
2. invitation/offer and Residential letter from a relative in Canada.
3. bank statement of around PKR 2 Million.
4. My employment letter. ( I am working with Bahira University Islamabad).
5. My leave letter.
6 My academic documents.
7. Fee submit recepit

A close relative of mine applied for TRV via TCS in first week of May and was granted one in mid June. The decision came after 30-35 working days.
While one is waiting, two things are sure to happen: lots and lots of stress, and lots and lots of prayers.
Best of luck... May Allah help you all.
Pakistan is beautiful and so is Canada.
