Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Hi all

I wanna share a detailed list of goods to take along with you to Canada made by a Pak FSW forum member. I modified it a bit. You can add/remove anything according to your own need & baggage allowance. Do share your own list too as it would be helpful for us all.

Few things in this list are irrelevant for us as we being PNP applicants are going to stay with our relatives or friends initially so we can buy these things later. Here is the list :

Things to take along with you:

1. Carry few formal wear but mostly casual wear like Shalwar Qameez, Jeans & shirts, Inners, few shoes, joggers, slippers, socks, few sweaters, Woolen Caps, gloves & mufflers, Belts, Wallet/Ladies Bags etc.
2. Get complete 16 pieces of Prestige set of kitchen ware.
3. All small kitchen/household items like peeler, knife, scissors and small items of daily use.
4. A complete Cuttery set.
5. Dont buy/take lots of clothes for kids as they are in growing age so six months stuff would be OK.
6. Warm jackets/Long Coats for all.
7. Few self grooming stuff like Lotion, Shampoo, Soap, nails & Foot filer, Teeth brushes, Tooth paste, Combs & Hair brushes etc, just for survival. Also Ladies make up stuff.
8. You might not get furnished flat to start life. So consider buying curtains, cushions & pillows in compressed form as this time all will be tax free. You can add these in good to follow list.(Only if can enough space/weight left).
9. Folding Mattress(if you are staying on your own & not with any relative).
10. Medicines with prescription.
11. Bed sheets for double bed/Single bed.
11. One set of Melamine plates.
12. Few packs of Masala/Spices again for survival only.
13. Extra Eye/Sun glasses.
14. Gillette shaving stuff as it is expensive there. Also visit www.shopboat.com and compare Pakistani and Canadian prices so that you can easily decide what items to buy, what would be their quantity, according to your baggage allowance.
15. Carry Essential Clothes Only. For outdoors you need Pull Overs and Jackets , since all residences are centrally heated , you can easily wear cotton/moderate stuff dresses in your houses.
16. Melamine A+ quality Thai Make dinner set costs Rs.15,000/- in Pakistan while same costs CAD $ 450- $550.
17. Carry Tawa, Regular Degchis(Pots), Pressure Cooker, Wooden/Steel cooking spoons, Steel/Plastic Glasses & Jugs, Frying pan, Sauce Pans, Plastic containers & Jars, Cups etc etc.
18. Buy Fleece Blankets or any other light weight blankets.
19. Carry three months essential medicines. You may need to produce a Doctors prescription on Airport for them.
20. For kids, buy School bags, Stationery & few toys.
21. Jaye Namaz, Topi, Quran-e-pak, Tasbeeh or other Islamic/Dua books.

Regards

Hi all

I'm receiving many queries regarding Medical examination at IOM. So I'm sharing complete Medical procedure here:

To get appointment for Medical, you can email at mhdislamabad @ iom.int or call them(start calling them at around 08:00a.m) at UAN# 051-111466472.

Put Passports of all family members in front of you before calling them or send all of your these details via email. They will ask for Full name, Passport number, Date of birth, Location where you want to conduct Medicals, Phone Number, Visa Category i.e PNP/FSW/Spouse.

After this info, they will tell you total fees, time & date on which u have to appear for medicals at IOM.

They will advise you to bring following:

1- Photocopy + original letter/forms of Medical request

2- 05 photos of each applicant

3- 02 Passport photocopies

4- Fees for Adults Rs.5250 per person & for Kids Rs.3250(IOM has increased the Fee recently).

First at reception they will enter/verify your name & time & give you a token number. Afterwards you will be directed to counters where they'll call each applicant according to token number. At that counter, they'll collect all data/passport copies/forms/photographs etc from you. Afterwards, they'll direct you to another counter to pay fees & to take photograph.

After this, you will take you for Chest X-ray(adults only), they'll check your height, weight, eyesight(adults & kid both) & draw blood sample & Urine sample of each adult.

When above mentioned process is completed, you will be directed to Doctor's room where Doctor will examine you & fill out few forms by asking various questions like any surgery, fracture, any chronic disease etc.

Afterwards you'll be advised that if they found any problem in tests then u will be called again tomorrow & if all is well then all medical forms/tests results will be dispatched to New Delhi within next few days.

I hope it will be helpful to all who are waiting for medical.

Regards

Good sharing, +1 for you.

Pl look into this site as well : http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/campaigns/1425.aspx#pilotcriteria

as during our nomination we were asked to show funds as per the requirements given on this link.

Khan, you are right but i doubt that Muhammad fahad is provincial nominee other than Alberta, then he will have to follow CIC or that province or case specific instructuions.

Yes its possible. You can inform them after receiving MR that you are currently in Pak so resend you new Medical forms to do medical examination here in Pak.

Medical forms are most probably different for each country(Not sure about new E-forms but old one were different). But I'm afraid that it can may cause delay in your processing period.

By the way, Medical procedure & tests are same in each country. I don't think that there is a huge difference.

Hi Ume Rayan,

How are you. My Sponsor Received interview call last night. I need some help My Spouse Original Birth certificate in urdu is not available. I have already sent the Translate Notrized copy. For CIO Nova Scotia Notrized copy is sufficient or they also require the Copy of Birth certificate in urdu. Kindly you have any information about it or any other option is available Please Reply soon. I can also get the Police Certificate Without LOA or not. Once again Thanks for your's valuable information.

Regards Rashid.

Re: All Pakistani PNP Applicants submitted file @ CIO in 2012

Congrats on Sponsor's Interview. Insha'Allah you'll get your LOA soon.

For CIO, Nova Scotia, we need to provide them:

1: Actual Notarized Photocopy of a Document
2: Notarized & Certified Translation of that Document
3: Affidavit of Translator who did this translation

Kindly refer to my previous posts as I clearly mentioned about how to do this. CIO don't want original documents so you just need to attach its notarized photocopy.

Yes you should apply for PCC so that you can immediately apply to CIO just after receiving LOA. But if there is some delay then its better to get it after receiving your LOA because CIO requires fresh PCC.
