Hey, i'm at 509... don't ignore my efforts :-*

No I'm saying that there are students around the 450-460 mark that have worked hard (it seems you worked uber hard). Those people were kind of stuck for that extra boost but now they have it! Those students bitching at 380 haven't worked as hard. They now have the boost but they still need to do more! :D

It was meant as a complement :D

I think I understand the reason for creating this post, but eventually based on proposed changes from Parliament reports CEC will become a separate stream from express entry and that will also take care of international student because most of them are falls under CEC anyways. Hopefully that will give fair chance to both FSW applicant and International student with canadian experience.

So going back to previous EE then ;)

Since we are keeping track, I'm at 466 before and 496 now. Seriously hope to get an ITA soon, been waiting since April!
Also, I'm FSW so the whole intl student vs FSW debate seems very amusing to me. I am standing both sides of the aisle.

Not really because you still have PNP and LMIA concept in EE against FSW which wasn't there before and also for CEC it doesn't guarantee PR if you have 1 year experience which was initially the case before EE. It only gives you access to EE pool but you still need good language proficiency and good education to reach the draw.

You should. There's no reason for the cut-off to go above 500. VERY few people are above 500 without LMIA or PNP and most of them already have ITAs.

It was a joke...

I have to agree with you. A legit CEC applicant should have at least 415 points to start with, those with crs under 400 can forget about EE.

They can still get PNP.

They shouldn't. A good CEC applicant aka former international student must at least have CLB 8, a Bachelor and a job (at least NOC B). If you can't have all those thing, then you are not good enough for Canada.

It doesn't make sense to accept new immigrants in here so they can work minimum wage jobs and claim welfare.

What CEC will become seperate stream? Which means they will not compete with FSW and have their seperate scores and seperate draws? Same will happen to FSWP?

I agree with you there, but as the system stands currently, that can get PNP and get 600 pts. That's what I was pointing out.
