Pl don't loose your hope mate.... you are supposed to have a pretty strong nerve with stubborn character to stick along....You are also an active and champion member of this forum who rendered valuable inputs and advise to many fellow forum members.... We will keep our finger crossed for you.... I know how it feels like....Its true and fact that for some reason the each step of the road to Canada journey has been made not easy for many of us (I will share mine once Almighty allow me to finally get through!!) compared to others but we got to have faith on the Almighty and up on own selves....

Lets hope the new year 2011 brings us the desired sparkle in our life and luck.....

Although I have not received such letter, however, I have seen similar postings as yours from many different applicants in many different forums like this one.

All, I have understood that it did not have a big impact in the processing of the CIC. Because, most applicants wanted to continue with their PR procedures. And, not responding to that letter was considered as positive sign from applicants who wished to continue.

I am also apply September 2006(FSW). and last March 2009 i send landing Fee,still i am waiting Medical 10 month,waiting waiting and waiting... but result will be positive so don't worry wait we are in backlog so it solve within 2011. I thing We get medical paper very short time joust need to wait.

Delay is a form of Punishing the applicants.
there are cases, they have tried to be stict but due to legal bindings they are not being able to reject the applicants but still showing their personal/bureaucratic arrogance. This could be CIC's latest unofficial policy as well coz if they want a new law or rejection policy then those polices must be ratified by a board where all the members might be agree on. this is like UN's 5 members veto power.

Let us all hope for the best ! Fariza ! arlnr, my above assumption suits your case, so does to me.
I'd say everyone to carry on doing your daily life activities, make life spicy with other things. someday an envelope will arrive for sure, could be good or bad. who cares ! we have done our part, now its them to decide. we got our last resort, the Federal court. Dealing Immig/VO knows that as well !

Dear Janathan, what about your case? Do you know the air fare of turkish air for single way from Dhaka to Toronto?

Around USD1200 (Single journey one way). From Bangladesh it is better to catch Etihad Airways(less flying time).

I applied with a Canadian Lawyer, he took landing fees with my full docs (Like you).

you can buy a Jeans here @ $10.So you think will you buy cloths frm bangladesh.
Buy Bedsheets &Fatua & Gayer chador
Dont Carry any Gold & Jwellary coz its unsafe to hold in Home here.
Try to findout Good Houses near to Market & Subway otherwise life would be difficult. Avoid Basement Houses.

Now about canada. Hope all of you do all research work abt Canada But let me share My Experience. Its a wonderfull country for living.

Here Unity is Must.
Odd Jobs available but in long run no benefit.
Think About professional courses & Study first.
Jobs you will not get easily.
Those who are early 40s will face some challage.
Those who have child over 4 will face some challenge
Lastly those have strong regious views (Muslim) may not survive here for long run.

CIC London- Any help with relevant info please?

I submitted my initial application on 8 June 2006 in London office.

On 20 January 2010 Done the Medical from Bangladesh as I was about to visit there and also it was cheaper. And sent all papers as asked including Landing Fees.

Since then, I haven't received any correspondence from CIC.
I emailed them few times and every time their answer was - They are waiting for the routine background check result.

What does that mean?

Also, our medical will be valid only until 19/01/2011.
Is there anything might happen within this short time?

Getting fed up with this.

When you don't hear anything from them for quite sometime and asked for silly papers, its a possible rejection to come. Still not sure, I will let you know all guys.
