Apply for mrp and after getting it you can easily
Send a csi to sgvo to update ur passport details. mrp will hv the reference of ur old passport so nothing to worry. Even if u get ppr u can send both passport togather attaching the mrp with the manual one and give a explaination letter with ur passport.

i have a small query:

my passport is not MRP (Machine Readable Passport) and i didn't get chance to change it during my whole application period (Feb 2010- June 2012). now i got my MR and people are advising me to change it ASAP as many of airport officials are refusing our old, hand-written passports now a days all around the world. but i am confused, as my passport number has been referenced all through this period in several documents of cic, will it create any anomaly for upcoming formalities/procedures of cic?

anybody has any idea/advice on when or how should i change my passport to MRP or is there any formalities by cic?

another think, I thought everybody think MR issue on Application date but maybe there MR issue on Final Document send Date. So pls Update MR list with Final Document send Date.

Tokon bhai congrats .. !!! your initial application date is after mine But you received your 2nd AOR before me .. So its not like FIFO .. me still in the queue

My file is now in a queue for MR. I submitted my application to Novascosia on January, 2010 but when they informed me to submit all documents to SGVO, I was not prepared for that. I sent all documents after my MSc main certificate from USA and my wifes' BBA transcript from Bangladesh. I submitted my application to SGVo on Nov, 2010 and got my AOR on 19th of January, 2011. May be thats why, I am getting late.

Did you order for your GCMS or CAIPS?

My file is now in a queue for MR. I submitted my application to Novascosia on January, 2010 but when they informed me to submit all documents to SGVO, I was not prepared for that. I sent all documents after my MSc main certificate from USA and my wifes' BBA transcript from Bangladesh. I submitted my application to SGVo on Nov, 2010 and got my AOR on 19th of January, 2011. May be thats why, I am getting late.

Did you order for your GCMS or CAIPS?

I ordered my GCMS from here: http://www.lawpoint.ca/. It will take $25 from you but there are other ways also to find a GCMS cheaper (costs only 5 bucks). Search CAIPS or GCMS on canadavisa website and you can inform other ways to order.
