Hi All,

I am in a confusion.....actually I applied for the immigration on November 2011 and eventually got my docs returned due to "Quota Filled". I am taking my preparation to send my docs again in July 2012. Now the issue is, I am having my first child on May 2012 and he'll be around 1~2 months old when I'll be applying for immigration. Now my question is.....do I need to issue a different passport for him or adding his name with parents passport will do...??? Even if I require a passport for the newborn.....do I need to have the police clearance for him....???? :

Passport is needed.
PCC not required, its for all those over 18

Dear friends,

I am quiet doubtful about the ecas status of the pre MI applicants i.e 2006 & '07. They get at first IN PROCESS & then Decision Made. The snap shot from the cic site may make you more clear:

PROCESS
(A decision has not been made yet.)

i) Application Received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC)
We have received your application and will review it in order of receipt. We will send you an acknowledgement letter.
ii) Documentation Verified by CIC
We are reviewing your application to make sure it is complete and that no documents are missing. We will return incomplete applications for resubmission.
iii) An Interview May be Required
We will review the application and decide if an interview is necessary. If so, we will inform you in writing of the date, time and location of the interview.

DECISION
MADE
(A decision has been made at this point.)

i) Medical Results Received by CIC
We have received your medical results. We will contact you only if additional tests are needed.
ii) Approval Status Determined
Your application will be either approved or rejected. We will inform you of the decision in writing.
iii) Permanent Residence Status Determined
If your application is approved, we will send you your permanent resident documentation and a letter saying what we need to finalize your permanent residence.

Which of the above stage shall we consider safe?

So would pls. help to clear this confusion.

you have to make new passport for your new baby. No need to police clearance for baby but need to application fee(Bank draft CAD$150) Photo and birth certificate with fill up from IMM008 AND IMM 5406

Dear I am both pre feb 2008 as well as pre june 2010 applicant (2 applications pending.... ).

For your information, in pre Feb 2008 cases, your ecas says "In Process" as soon as you are issued AOR by CHC. And this status keeps on showing same until you get a visa (or rejected), in which case it starts showing "Decision Made".

So practically there is no significance of ecas showing "in process" in such cases.

You will come to know whether you come in the Lucky 20,000 applicants only if you order CAIPS or just wait for any communication from them.

Ya, I support you. Only the IP status does not say something. But those who were required to send documents later, they can deserve their files to be actual In Process or reviewed.

Arif bhai & other pre 2008 applicants, you can get the best idea from caips note.
