Dear All:

Thank you for setting up an all Bangladeshi Forum. I am an architect and applying from Dhaka. I have a question regarding "17 year education proof". How would I proof I have 17 years of full time education?

Hello Nayara,

17 years of educations = 10 years SSC level + 2 years HSC level + 4 years Bachelor level + 1 year Master level.

If any one have 3 years bachelor level, 1 year in master level and has PhD degree then S/He can declare 17 year education.

Hope you can understand the answer.

Mahbub.

Dear Nayara,

17 or 17+ Years Education means = S.S.C+H.S.C+ Bachelor degree + Masters degree course duration.

For example, S.S.C+H.S.C+ Bachelor Degree + Masters Degree =10 Years+2 Years+ 4 or 5 Years + 1 or 2 Years = Must be 17 or 17+ years.

Collect all transcripts from your university or institution where course duration already mentioned.

Collect all certificates from your university/institute, college, school.

Hi mute_man,

Yes, transcript should be in sealed envelop from university authority/exam offices. Please read the general guidelines and check list of CIO.

Thank you for setting up an all Bangladeshi Forum. I am an architect and applying from Dhaka. I have a question regarding "17 year education proof". How would I proof I have 17 years of full time education? I have added copies of all my educational certificates and original transcripts. What else can be done? Do I need to get certificates from respected institution saying the course time?

It would be great if I could get an answer on this.

Thank you very much.

Dear Nayara,
Architects have 17 years of full time education automatically. Upto HSC- 12 yrs + B. Arch- 5 yrs = 17 years. So dont worry. By the way, r u working with VITTI ? For any further query, u can ask me.

Thank you all for replying. My confusion was how to prove I have 10 yrs + 2 yrs + 5 yrs + 2 yrs. Providing Copies of certificate and Original Transcript would be enough? Bachelors and Masters have the years written in transcripts. But SSC and HSC doesn't. Do I need to explain what those are? Also for SSC and HSC transcripts have to be collected from respective boards not school or college, right?
Sorry, if my questions sound repetitive but I wanted to be clear before I went looking for it.
Thank you all again for your time and assistance.

Hello Dear,

As you know that I am in the process of submitting pasport in the canadian Visa office. Now I am in great confusion regarding one issue. In my passport there are many visas including the visas of Yemen and Algeria who are blacklisted by USA.

How do you think, will there be any problem or anything that can create problem for these visas?

I will be delighted with your vision.

Best regards,

Mamoon

@ Nayara

Please be informed that to claim 25 points out of 25 in Education, you must have at least 17 years education with Masters Degree. If you have 17 years education with only Bachelor Degree, you can claim only 22 points.

All transcripts must be sealed in envelop by the university/institute authority.

Only university transcripts should be in sealed envelop. SSC & HSC marksheet (in English one) should be notarized copy. I have provided same when I applied.

Singapore VO knows about our educational system so no problem for that.

Hope to clarify ur question.

Nayara,

It is known to them that SSC is of 10 years and HSC is 2 years. When you will fill the form, u need to mention duration of SSC and HSC followed by ur other degrees. Then the calculation will be clear to them. U need to send the certificates and mark sheets of SSC & HSC (in english) copies after notarized. But the university transcripts must be in the sealed envelop. If you are from BUET, u just take photocopy of ur transcripts to the registrar building. Controller of exam will attest the copies with official stamp. Then putting that in the envelop, the flap to be stamped and initial across the flap joint to be given. Better to use separate envelop for Bachelors and Masters. As i am also from ur same profession and passed the stages, u can ask for any further query. U can call me 01730702583 if u wish.

Dear Mamoon,
If those visas were used as short stay, there will be no problem. If those show long stay, u will need PCC and other explanations so far i know. I think it should not be a big problem.

Indianajones,
Processing time for pre june applicants is 16 months from the date of document submission.
SGVO got your docs in feb 2011, so i think you need to wait until feb-may 2012 to get your MR.

Dr.Hasib

I sent full docs in July 2010 (though I sent docs for my spouse recently because I've married recently). Can I expect MR soon, Hasib bhai?

Congrats Mamoon vi for your MR+PPR.
Recently SGVO has changed their previous strategy and started requesting MR+PPR at a time to make things faster.
Now, if you check on the request letter, you might find that SGVO requested you to submit your passport to CHC Dhaka after 15 days of medical exam.
If same goes for you then:
- complete your medical exam
- get your bank draft(RPRF) from standard chartered bank and get your PCC
- then after 15 days from medical completion, submit your passport+RPRF+PCC+photos in a A4 size self addressed brown envelop at CHC,Dhaka (0nly on Sunday or Tuesday after 1 pm)

Dr.Hasib

Thanks Hasib bhai, very useful info also for us
