If we can't give the passport within 30 days deadline what will happen? It is in Saudi or saudi embassy for hajj purpose... Can i request cic to extend the time ?

Dear Seniors

Need your advise on following issues:

Scenario 1 : If I don't have Driving License in Bangladesh, what procedures do I Have to follow to get one from Toronto.

Scenario 2 : If I have driving license which is issued very recently, will the procedures be same or do i get any benefit having Bangladeshi Driving License.

As far as I know, I would not get any benefit if my license is not 2 years old.

I am planning to land on May 8. After that I want pursue a certification course in Marketing. However, I have three specific questions.

1. My IELTS score is already expired and it was not academic one. So to enroll in a bridging program do I need to take IELTS again? In 2009 I took academic IELTS. Can I use that again?
2. However, if I have to take IELTS exam again then please do let me know is it difficult to score in Canada comparing to Bangladesh?
3. What about the digital marketing prospects in Canada ? Can I take certification on this?

Please share your expert opinion.

Profile (top menu) > Forum Profile Information (left menu)

You will find both timeline fields and signature there to edit. There may be a restriction of number of posts you made so far to be able to edit them (not sure though).

There are Big Five in Canada: RBC, TD, ScotiaBank, BMO & CIBC. There are also some other international banks/subsidiaries. Let me give you some stats about the Big 5:

Capital/revenue: RBC > TD > ScotiaBank > BMO > CIBC
Assets: TD > RBC > ScotiaBank > BMO > CIBC
Branches (all over Canada): RBC > TD > ScotiaBank > CIBC > BMO

But in Toronto, you will see TD Bank branches everywhere. Hence, most new immigrants have an account there. You will get a chip-enabled debit card right when you open a checking account with any bank. TD allows $500 credit card for newcomers.

If you want to enroll yourself in any colleges you don't need IELTS. If you have any certificate saying your medium of instruction was English that would be good enough but if not then you might need to go for CLB or ESL test [CLB is nothing and ESL is easier then IELTS]. You might need to take optional English course [it depends]. You can take certification in any program. Digital marketing is also good.

1. a.Go for G1 [Knowledge test, it is mandatory]....b. Learn driving by driving instructors. Wait for a year [8 months if you go to driving schools] then go for G2 [Road test]......c. Wait for another year [Drive in local roads and practice driving in highways then go for full G silence.

2. You only can get benefit if your license form BD is more than 2 years old. If so, you need to go for G1 then you can go straight for G. But you need to send and verify your license through BD high commission in Ottawa.

You can request CIC for time extension explaining you matter.
