I have submitted my APR last week. I have some questions related to my APR, which I hope someone would kindly answer them.
1. In the document checklist section of my APR the digital photo of my 2.5 years old daughter was not enlisted and as a result there was no option to upload it. I actually reported the matter on the CIC website as a technical issue. I was expecting that they would either inform me that 'digital photo is not required for very young children' or they would admit that it was a technical error and ask for the photo. However, their response, which I got quite late, is a bit confusing (it was sent to my email address not into the CIC account). They have mentioned in the reply that "if I want" I can submit additional documents (e.g. newly renewed passport) by using a specified form/web-link.
As you may understand, it is not about whether I want it or not, it's about the 'requirement' and they could have asked for the digital photo directly or say it is not required. What should I do now? should I submit it as an additional document using the link (which can also create confusion such as why I didn't submit it with the APR) or should I wait and see if they ask for the photo once they start processing my APR? While processing my APR if they check my document checklist, they will clearly see that they didn't ask for my child's digital photo in that checklist.
2. Currently, I have only one valid passport, which has its validity for the next four years. Two of my old passports have expired, which are attached to my current passport. I have most of my visas in my old passports.
I mentioned my current passport details as my identity document. And in the document upload section I have uploaded the biographical info page of my current passport and the visas and stamps in my 'current and old passport' (to back up my travel history). I have done this because my old/expired passport is linked to my current passport and my current passport has the information of my old passport (e.g. previous passport number). Is it okay?
3. In my APR I have chosen Vancouver, British Columbia as my preferred destination in Canada. Will I be able to change this later on after getting PPR or when I eventually travel to Canada?
4. In the LOE, that I submitted with my APR, I have truthfully mentioned that the 19000 CAD that I have in my account is an unconditional gift from my dad. I have attached a notarized gift deed signed by me and my dad, and the bank deposit slip signed by my dad as supporting documents? Is it okay?
5. I currently have the required fund of 19000 CAD in my bank account and I am going to have it in my account until I get a result on my APR. Can I do transactions in my account, like deposits and withdrawal? Even if I do transactions, the balance of the account will never go below 19000 CAD.
6. I have done my postgraduate study in the U.K. In the personal history section I have mentioned that from January 2010 - September 2013. I studied in the U.K. However, within this period I have returned home once and stayed for around 8 months, which I mentioned in my travel history. During that 8 months I was conducting a research in my country as a part of my study in the U.K. I didn't mention that separately in the personal history because from January 2010 - September 2013 I was continuously a student at a British institution. Will this create any confusion?
7. My final question to you is if IRCC has any query or confusion about my APR, are they going to communicate with me and ask for clarification/additional documents, or are they going to refuse my APR directly?
